Non conference G5 games you want on the schedule
I am pretty sure I started a thread like this a year or two ago, but we are in the depths off season, so here goes...

Which schools do you want to appear on future G5 non conference football schedules for your schools?

Please include only schools which (a) have not been on the schedule for at least five years, and (b) are not on the schedule this year or in the future. G5 schools only...

For App State, I'm going to go with UCF, Boise State, Memphis, Houston, FAU, and Army (well, they're an independent, but I'll include them).

Our AD has done a great job with what's been scheduled so far: Southern Miss, ODU, Marshall, Charlotte, and ECU have been attractive series for us.

UCF, ECU, MTSU, Marshall, ODU. These are all teams that we played several great games against back in the FCS. It would be neat to have them back in Paulson.

I would consider BYU as a G5 type school, the only Independent that I don't consider is ND. I do know that P5 conferences claim to treat BYU as a P5 though, like the B1G.

I would like to see the following:

UCF
USF
MTSU
ECU
USM
Marshall
ODU
Army (but probably won't happen while Monken is there); Statesboro is sandwiched between 2 military bases & several just a few hours away.

Air Force could be interesting, with a home/home/"neutral" in Shreveport (near Barksdale AFB)

I like Bobcat's idea of listing home and home's that our teams have scheduled that we don't like 03-lmfao

Really the only match up that we have that I'd turn my nose up at is the one against Ball State in 2022-23. We have great G5 teams coming to Paulson in the next few years: FAU, Houston, Boise St, BYU, UAB, and Fresno State. I didn't like the match up with Liberty when it was announced, but due to a recent bowl game, I want revenge now.

I wonder how many of our opponents dont like us being on their schedule? 05-mafia

We are MAC heavy the next few years with Bowling Green, Ohio and Central Michigan all on our schedule. It’s a little much for my taste, would rather sprinkle in an AAC and MWC team.

UCF
USF
Boise
Hawaii
Memphis
UAB
Tulane
FAU
FIU

All would be fun road trips and all would be potentially helpful raising the recruiting profile either in our home market, Boise and Hawaii, or with the others in fertile recruiting areas.

That said, I am glad we have H/H deals with Marshall, Charlotte, and ECU lined up. Those do more to energize fan excitement than any other non-conference G5 could.

RE: Non conference G5 games you want on the schedule
From the UCF fan perspective, I'd like to get Georgia Southern, Georgia State, and App State on the schedule. We owe Ga Southern some beatdowns in retaliation for some we took in the FCS playoffs. Ga State would be a good road trip to Atlanta for recruiting, and I'd like to see what they've done with Turner Field. And App would be a tremendous road trip.

Also, my Dad is a Troy alumnus, so I wouldn't mind seeing that series from a personal standpoint.
