Out. We won one lost two, the one victory was close and I believe DeAngelo scored 4 t.d.
They have a great OCS that would look great at Memphis.
The game they won in Memphis that cost us a bowl, cost Ground Chuck his job. Chuck could beat the teams he wasn't supposed too and lose to the teams he should beat.
I liked Chuck, he played a tough OOC schedule, beat usc,Arkansas, ect.
Good luck to ECU
Not at all what cost Stobart his job. You need to find another corner for your information.

RE: East Carolina dropping some sports
Reality:
"One key factor in the deficit: the poor performance of the football team and its impact on ticket sales. Season tickets declined from 19,050 in 2016 to 12,908 in 2018 and 14,063 in 2019"
and
"Simultaneously, Pirate Club giving declined from $13.7 million in 2015 to less than $9 million in 2016, 2017 and 2018 and $10.8 million in 2019 — a net loss of $18.6 million over four years. The new suite tower at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium, originally projected to generate $42.7 million in revenue over 30 years, is now expected to produce a $6 million deficit over that period of time."

He's not completely wrong. I recall that the ECU game attendance was cited as evidence of "declining interest in the program" when Chuck was fired. Since then it has become well known that it was a more complicated affair.
The fan base really made things easy for Rawlins and Cavagnaro that day. Makes you wonder what would have happened if we'd won and gone to the Liberty Bowl.

I think the most miserable I've ever been after a football game was the 2000 UT/Memphis game. It was cold, wet, and full of UT fans in our home stadium. Scott Scherer threw a 24yd TD pass to Billy Kendall with 3 minutes left in the game to put Memphis up 17-16. Then UT drove down and kicked a 34 yd field goal for the win.
Gave up a 44 yard kick return after our go ahead TD.
The kicker kicked off to the wrong side of the field.

That was the game when they let some UT fans sing Rocky Top on our tiny new Jumbotron.
Should have been our third straight victory over Tennessee. Nearly had 'em beat at Neyland in '99 too.
