Football attendance plan
As far as I know there isn’t a plan yet but let’s see some ideas.

NCAA and AAC says We are going to delay the season till after Labor Day.
Attendance will be limited to 50% capacity and social distancing in place.

From Tiger Lane to entry gates to seating what would your plan look like?

Who gets in? Any walk ups? Who gets moved? Schedule?

Give it a shot. Winner gets a virtual atta boy!

RE: Football attendance pla
I'm Stadium Club seating, and they sell that out every year... So I'm curious what that's going to look like. 150 people in an enclosed area, or do you turn away 50% of the people? And are turnaways in a sellout room based on points, who bought tickets first, or who shows up first?

RE: Football attendance plan
I think we have to assume that if games take place in the fall that there will most likely be no fans. If there are fans allowed then it will be a lot less than 50% capacity. Maybe something closer to 10% capacity.

Most people on this board don't know what the consequences were of the Atalanta-Valencia Champions League soccer game back in February, but the major sports leagues do. And they don't want that to happen again.

Don’t see any enforceable way to regulate Tiger Lane...which in reality makes in stadium distancing moot. From a legal perspective, I’d think it’d be difficult to conclusively prove viral origination points of contact. As far as concessions go, I’d pay extra for a “fast pass” wristband with limited options if it meant no/shorter waiting in line time.

RE: Football attendance plan
I would imagine there could be a plan that the university will come up with when it comes to "social distancing."

Perhaps, when single game tickets come on sale in July/August, you'll probably see an adjusted map with limited seats available. However, you could very well see the tarps being removed in the south end zone.

I'm anticipating the Arkansas State game being a night game on CBS Sports Network. Seems like that's type of game that'll be broadcast on CBSSN.

However, I'm anticipating the Purdue and Houston kickoffs to be at 11 AM kickoffs respectively. Yes, the temperature plays a role when it comes to whether if you're going to wear a face mask or not. I do anticipate kickoffs for these games to be released in two weeks.

But, the fans are going to be the ones that will probably get the unlucky end of the spectrum. I do hope that Arkansas State can bring their band (if they're invited) just for the experience for those band students, and it makes the environment and atmosphere of the game, better. I like bands playing.

Good news: We're at May 18, so we have three and a half months until Labor Day weekend. Which is more than enough time.

It’s amazing how much force lies with a length of yellow caution tape strategically placed. That would be easiest thing to deal with if they choose to do so.

‘More than a month later, experts are pointing to a Champions League game between Atalanta and Valencia as one of the biggest reasons why Bergamo, Italy, has become one of the epicenters of the coronavirus pandemic — a “biological bomb” was the way one respiratory specialist put it.‘

RE: Football attendance plan
I don't know what the plan will be. It's going to be interesting to watch this develop, though. I would like to make a few points about how this relates to me personally:

1. I have ordered Tiger football tickets and paid for my two Tiger Lane spots through the Highland Hundred.
2. I really want to see the Tigers play this year. Our team's potential is tremendous.
3. I'm over 75 and have several pre-existing conditions that supposedly put me at risk.
4. I have attended church services the past two weekends wearing a mask and doing social distancing.
5. Masks are uncomfortable and I would not want to wear one at games in 90-100 degree heat.
6. I don't see any easy way to social distance in the stadium.
7. I really don't see how we could Tailgate and socially distance.

In summary, to have fans at games is going to require the University to demonstrate the wisdom of Solomon. And, unless a vaccine miraculously appears, we fans will have to accept some exposure to be at games. I'm not sure which way I'll jump until I see a plan.

If this country is still social distancing by kickoff----then GOD help us--- AMERICA is already unrecognizable because of the liberal far left agenda that have changed our land the past 20/30 years----but if this country dont open back up soon---even this new fundamentally transformed AMERICA will be at the point of no return. Dr. Rudd has already said that he doesn’t see a situation where we play without fans. I believe he said something along the lines of “if it’s not safe for fans to be in the stands then how can we say it’s safe for student-athletes on the field”.

I think most schools are looking at pretty significant restrictions on their campuses in the fall. Hard to see where contact sports and tens of thousands of fans fit into those models.

This country has survived and rebounded from civil war and world war, multiple pandemics including the 1918 influenza which officially lasted about 15 months. The Great Depression impact lasted about a decade.

We have followed each tragic event with a period of great change, great wealth creation and significant advancement. During each tragic event we have been defined by our faith and the compassion we have shown for those impacted the most.

We have also Had those who In each event have been blinded and limited by The darkness of lack of faith and lack vision and hope. Who have sought to assign blame rather than work together for the greater good. Sacrifice is essential for recovery.

There is equal evil in extremism of beliefs whether it is far right or far left. The real danger is in the great majority middle allowing extremism to gain a foothold in leadership. Our strength lies in balance of power and balance of ideologies not domination of thought.

It is sad to see that some choose to insert political beliefs into every discussion. If you are going to invoke God’s name do not use political leanings in the same sentence.

Sports should be fun and escapism. If some want to argue politics, take it PM or find another venue we’re you can bash away.

I’m thinking our 62,000 seat stadium is looking better and better.

Amen brother. This has to end. 50k to 75k people die every year from the flu that has a vaccine. People with weaker immune systems should definitely take precautions, but the world must go on. We can’t do this every time something new comes along.

How about we schedule the games and if you want to go, go. If you are afraid or have someone vulnerable at home, don't. Done.
