QB Rodney Thompson
Offer out to JUCO QB Rodney Thompson. I can't tell if he's a 2020 or 2021 guy. He was at Northern Arizona in 2017, played one game at Palomar CC in 2018 and started at Palomar in 2019, which would imply that he's a 2020 guy. But his Hudl says he's a 3 for 3 December grad so who knows.

Regardless, he's a nice looking player. Reminds me of Anthony Maddie.

Good athlete. Smart, plays with eyes up, moves well ..not sure about arm strength. May have more Childers in him than Bowers.

If he was at JUCO, he has to have 2 years left of eligibility. I'm guessing he had a medical year they didn't count.

Eh. Not a single offer elsewhere in High School or JUCO, we will see I guess.

Remember someone named Lynch?

Don't judge until they compete on the field.

RE: QB Rodney Thompson
I bet he started in HS.

Can we get a DT to replace Heflin? Kind of short on those...

He did play JUCO too. Usually something starts to show, but I will give him the benefit of the doubt.

For sure, Thompson is humble, not cocky, and hungry. He may have a chip on his shoulder as something to prove. If he has any talent, it should show quickly. And I'm sure Hammock must have seen something there.

RE: QB Rodney Thompson
No offers fits the hard way mentality. I would think that the JC competition in California is pretty good. Just from his film, and I'm no QB guru, but he has good mobility/escapability, situational awareness (dinking down to a back before getting tackled), good speed, accurate arm(granted they only show completions) and above average arm strength. Does he have the 95mph heater?, don't think so. I would compare him to Harnish more so than Lynch in that he runs out of bounds or slides instead of running over people. As the last member of the 2020 class(per Hammock's tweet) I think he could be a diamond in the rough.
