Interesting that they are at 16 sport minimum. If need be would they cut a sport?

It's crazy what some MAC schools are paying football coaches. If you had a HC job opening with a base salary of 350K plus options to earn more in performance bonuses only, you would have tons of good applicants. It's not like any salary would keep a coach from moving to a P5 or quality AAC school.

UT has 27 staff besides the head coach. That does include five graduate assistants, but they likely receive tuition money. This isn't sustainable, and is only the first round of cuts IMO.

I don’t know. Adding a year to the big contracts in exchange for large reduction in salary seems like a solid approach. Of course if I am a coach I might never see that money if I take another job
