We might need another guard?

Not enough offense in that line up unless Boogie & LQ elevate their games consistently & dramatically.

DJ will probably lead in scoring.

DJ has an NBA level skill set. His scoring and consistency will improve dramatically. Boogie and Lester are the wild cards. They both all the skills and ability needed to be major contributors on a team that makes a deep run. It will just depends on how much work they put in this offseason.

And/or DJ finally gets consistently aggressive.

I'm counting on DJ to be the man but even so we'll lack fire per with a lineup of Alo, LQ Boogie & MD.

True. In the "or" scenario it'd be nice if Penny slows it down to reduce possessions.

Parrish should research, write and pen an article to ask and understand why one gets thumbs up and a clone gets thumbs down

He'll never write anything negative about Cal. He's hanging from his jock. Made a career of it.

I still think this lineup is as good or better than the team at the end of last year.

Yeah Precious is a huge loss...But if this staff has any ability to develop talent these sophomores should be greatly improved.

The biggest issue I see is who is going to rebound. If we can rebound the ball at a high rate we will be better than last year.

Yep. Gary was just lucky enough to be the beat writer for Memphis at the most opportune time. Without Cal Gary would be doing blogs now or some other very low paying job.

Hey, luck goes a long way, just look at the current occupant of the Oval Office. Without it, he would have had to have served this country at some point in his life.

You forget gp broke the Albert Measn story. The fact it was published in a book the year before is apparently meaningless.

Yeah----some oval office occupants are lucky enough to occupy office even after being friends with someone that bombed our capitol building.

Someone bombed our capitol building? Wow. I thought I kept up with current events somewhat, but that event flew straight past me....

If neither of these 2 get to play next year and Cisse goes elsewhere this will be a bubble team. Might make the big dance, might not.

Any of these three probably puts the Tigers in.

What you say could be true...

But we were close to a bubble team this year without our second best player.

DJ comes back and the 4 other freshmen improve and we add an highly athletic defensive JUCO.

Only way this team is not a tourney team is if the coaching staff sucks at player development.

Not saying I totally disagree, but we are losing a lottery pick in Precious. Someone (or multiple players) will have to fill the void left by his absence.

We essentially add DJ who should improve and be able to come close to replacing Precious offensively. The other 4 freshmen should improve as well...I don't think that is asking too much at all. We just need someone to grab some boards.

We at the very least get DJ back and we get Stokes as well. Also we get Rand and a back court full of talented guards with a year of experience.

The rebounding and defense Precious brought will be difficult to replace.

No doubt, but with DJ, Stokes and Rand I think we will be pleased.

Did you read any of the background on that? The eligibility issue turned out to be a sham. He was cheated out of a season.
