Group of 5 big D1 baseball coaches released a plan to move the season back. Would take it from currently being Feb-June to becoming March-July. Would sure save Northern schools a lot of money on flights and hotels. It would be great to see Western baseball develop a following that rivals the Growlers. They've had some awesome players come through, and it would have been really cool if they'd have gotten attention similar to basketball, football, and hockey. It's just so hard to follow the team when they're down south for 4 weeks, then they're in the bitter cold for another 2-3 weeks, then by the time the sun comes out the season is over. Oh, and also, they must sell beer at games!

Good article. The idea has been floated for years but this makes it sound like something may actually happen with the proposal.
