CBU AD quits
CBUs athletics director quits to take some position at a junior college. What’s up with that? Not good for WAC imo.

Sounds like a Josh Pastner to Ga Tech or Trent Johnson to TCU "beat the posse out of town" move, unless he's from that burgh where the juco is

When Chicago State joined, they had a new AD that last about two years before he left for a AD Job at a D3 School.

Left for the bigger department budget, I assume.

It is a four year college:

"It wasn't the normal hiring process. It wasn't something I was necessarily seeking. It just kind of happened," Parker said.

"The coaches asked me 'Tell me why you would want to go from D-I to back to NAIA?' I don't know if I like the word back. You create the big-time wherever you are at," Parker said. "The most important thing about being a leader is that you are a fit for the place you are leading. I felt that way about Cal Baptist and I feel that way here. I do really feel like we were called to come here. It didn't feel like we were leaving someplace. I feel like we are called to come here."

Parker was from Grand Island, Nebraska, which is about 230 miles from Orange City, Iowa. So he is going back home.

Yes, sometimes we get too cynical here. People often change jobs for reasons that don't reflect badly on anyone. Seen several good people move "down" from large-corporation high-pay to start-up lower-pay, just for the excitement of doing something new or living in a place their family likes better. For married/partnered people there's also the whole dual career thing.
