RE: Nebraska transfer
FWIW, and probably very little, talked to a buddy of mine that follows Nebraska Football as close as anyone and says he’s an absolute stud. He would have been buried on the depth chart with their QB situation and incoming class. Apparently graduated and has 2 years left. The Depth at QB looking forward is starting looking more and more promising.

Vedral was a great high school basketball player too who played a few games with Nebraska's hoops team. Maybe he'll play both if he comes here.

As a 6'1", 200 pound guard who hasn't played competitively since 2017....I think I'll pass and take the guards we already have on the roster.

With that being said, he did join the 'Huskers basketball team late in the season this year and got into one game, which happened to be Nebraska's 1st round B1G Tournament game (1 of only 2 games that were played before the tournament was canceled), which was an 89-64 loss to Indiana. He entered the game with Brant Banks who is a 6'7", 300 lb offensive tackle on the football team. Both played 3 minutes. Vedral went 0 for 2 from the field (0 for 1 from 3PT) and committed a foul. Banks shot 0 for 1 from the field and 0-2 from the line and committed a foul.

Either way. No, I'm not interested in him joining the basketball team in any capacity other than what he did for Nebraska who was some kind of terrible last year. They went 7-25 (2-18 B1G). They started their season with a 19 point loss at home to UC-Riverside who was under .500 in their own conference (Big West) and then followed that up with a 1 point loss in double OT to Southern Utah (again at home) who also was under .500 in their conference (Big Sky). Other lowlights of the 'Huskers season include a 19 point loss to George Mason who went 5-13 in the Atlantic 10), a 1 point loss to North Dakota (again, at home) who went 7-9 in the Summit League, and two losses to Northwestern and then they capped off their season with 17 consecutive losses. All 7 of their wins came at home (South Dakota State, Southern (OT), Washington State, South Florida, Purdue, Texas A&M-Corpus Cristi, and Iowa.

Anyway, the more and more I poured through the Nebraska season the more I found it interesting and wanted to share.

I still see no reason to pine for Noah Vedral to join the Huskies basketball team. It'd be fun, but he's not a difference maker or anyone who would warrant regular playing time sans a rash of injuries.

RE: Nebraska transfer
Nebraska literally added those football guys to the roster before the Big Ten tourney as they had suspensions to players (law related) and were down to seven scholarship players on the roster at the end of the year. Had almost nothing to do with either of their abilities to actually play basketball.

RE: Nebraska transfer
He’s a tough hard nosed kid. Solid athlete. He just isn’t a consistent passer with average arm strength. He would be a solid addition but he’s not going to stretch a defense at all. He does a lot of things very well but he’s not outstanding at anything.
