The Richmond Times Dispatch ran an article on the front page of the sports section today on the JMU/UNC regional game in 1982. They tied it in with The Last Dance mini series about Michael Jordan. I enjoyed the article by Wayne Epps. Wayne provided good coverage of the football Dukes last year. The Dukes came close to denying Michael Jordan the opportunity to hit the game winning shot vs Georgetown, the shot that got the ball rolling towards his greatness. There may be a paywall on the RTD site but they do give you a few free looks at Richmond.com

The RTD also recently reran an article on the Midnight Madness game vs Richmond in 1990. That was a good read as well.

Really enjoyed the articles this week. The interviews with the players on that 1982-83 team were great.

The Midnight Madness article was great... loudest crowd ever at the Convo. Loved how Tarrant said that he would trade any 5 players on his team for our band, which he described as amazing. Funny quotes too from Lefty.
