Go figure, XU balked at losing their home court advantage and likely playing at an empty or barely full arena when they come to us.

I don't like it but they're following the terms of the contract. If the shoe was on the other foot, we'd say "eff no, we're not changing things!"

I really don't know if that would be the case.

RE: 20-21 BBall schedule
Honestly just beat them. Maybe they let the band and cheer teams in or a small groups of fans. Either way UC should be working on safe and creative way to give the Cats a home court advantage.

Sometimes though no fans will help a young team like UC who might struggle with fan expectations. There is what i like to call negative fan energy. Basically that occurs when fans get upset with the performance or expect a negative result in the biggest game of the year. Fortunately UC has avoided that in the regular season at home but basically lived with it during the Mick years during the NCAA tournament and during his first handful of seasons. Huggins had it too post 1996. Bengals and Reds live in that zone.

Bolded is a really good point. Sometimes I think that game has been too big for the first time players who have never experienced that kind of atmosphere in their entire playing careers. It will be less intimidating to our many newcomers perhaps without fans present.

I'd love to see Williams and Vogt step up and lead to victory. It's (past) time to take control of this series again by always winning @ 5th/3rd and sneaking out of Cintas with an occasional victory.

UC plays in front of no fans a couple times a year at ECU and Tulane so they should have some experience with it.

Also, Mr. Brendel.... Come on. I ******* hate Xavier too. But you do too much on Twitter too often. I understand it's an outlet, but as a UC fan I really don't like it sometimes.

But I can't mute you because you have the tastiest Bearcat scoops. Oh well. I don't really tweet at people like I used to, but if I were a X fan, I would troll the **** out of you. I know you've self-proclaimed to be petty af, but I can't believe you find most of the encounters worth it. I get so worked up reading your spats with idiots. I guess that's my problem.

Most years, there are more UC fans than Tulane fans in New Orleans.

If there is no cancellation clause couldn’t we just play this year at 5/3 and then cancel the series? Then X gets absolutely nothing out of refusing our offers.

I’ll let you in on a little secret. I’m typically sitting in my office chair laughing my ass off as I get X fans all frothed up. It’s funny. Lighten up... 03-wink

I'm with you and I'm glad you push back on X fans; it makes for great entertainment online. The video that Brannen and UC did was fun too and had just enough of an edge about it to make it noteworthy, especially in this bizarre sports year.

I think too many UC fans just sit back and take the abuse since X has won a lot in the series in recent years. But make no mistake, this is still the Cincinnati Bearcats town.

Brannen's video . . . I applaud the effort, but I did not think it was possible that Cronin's successor would have even less charisma.

As long as he wins, I could care less if he's not as exciting as Ben Stein's character was in Ferris Bueller's Day Off. And that was none too exciting.

Brannen is great...dry sense of humor...no short man syndrome..his take on the X game this year is spot on ..Travis Steele’s comments show he’s nothing but a tool..

Davenport looks like he's been hitting weight room, I couldn't tell it was him.

Also, this is old news, but a few guys have changed numbers, which was an annoying part of pre-Brannen NKU basketball. Seemed like there were 2 or 3 guys who did it each year.

He's wearing goggles as well? Is #20 Eason? I couldn't tell if Eason is 20 or 24.

Neither: Roster finished with pics. Madsens classic. Looks like same guy with a crew cut and one with a long wig. Love it. All hair team with Bobby Brannen
