Sancho is great, but his attitude is wishy washy and I think he’s definitely due for an $80mm+ offer from a Man City or Barca-like team. I want them to be able to keep Haaland, but there’s a $100mm offer out there for him somewhere. It seems s though Germany isn’t going to be where stars want to play their peak careers anymore.

Heck, Dortmund is good at finding kids and selling them for megabucks. I have a feeling if both Sancho and Haaland leave Dortmund will just find two more wonderkids. One silver lining coming out of this COVID mess is lots of teams may not be albe to spend the megabucks on transfers this window. That in of itself may by those two more time with Dortmund.

Yeah. It keeps them from winning the Bundesliga though. Bayern can keep everyone. Dortmund will get Aubamayang, Mhki, Hummels, Sokratis, etc and right when they can make that real challenge they’re gone.
RB Leipzig has money

Leipzig has money, but no profile. All the money they have isn’t going to keep someone like Upamecano. I’ve only seen money alone put two clubs into the great “Big Club” status and that’s City and Chelsea.

Maybe it isn't all on the team. I imagine most of it is the players wanted to move on. Not good to keep a player around that wants to leave. Better to cash in and try and find then next great player.

Oh I don't fault them for selling players off. They get growing stars for cheap and sell them really high. They bought Auba at $14mm and sold him 40 $70mm. Pulisic was free and they sold him for $70mm. Reyna will likely be the same.

The problem with them is that they are using this money to get top players in their prime. They've actually sold them in their prime to Bayern, who goes right out and wins the title with them. They need to use some of this money to get title caliber players

I agree if Dortmund wants to win the league it needs to stop selling players to Bayern. Hopefully Dortmund will get to a point where it doesn't need to financially do that anymore. I am glad you didn't bring up Ousmane Dembele above. That dude is so frustrating. If he can ever stay healthy he is incredible but dude can not stay healthy. The way it's going Dortmund will have made out like a bandit with that €145 transfer.

Oh yeah, Dembele! Don't worry, I'm an Arsenal fan and I've seen my share of bad transfers. Aaron Ramsey to Juve for FREE!
