You mean the HPE 1 remodel?
It's the one they partnered up with PSJA with. They're building it near the Pharr interchange.

NMSU's deal with UA is directly with them for example.
When the deal was made with Adidas it was made with the name change from UTPA to UTRGV. Back then All sports (except Baseball) had a deal with Nike. Therefore once the name changed to UTRGV it changed to Adidas with a hype video during the last home game of UTPA.

I'm pretty sure GCU's deal was negotiated directly with Nike (through Jerry Colangelo), but equipment and apparel are ordered/delivered by BSN. At least one dead giveaway for institutions seems to be on the athletics department website, as both GCU and Chicago State BSN partnership banners near the bottom of their pages.
BSN seems like a glorified Eastbay to me, but who knows? One thing I learned about GCU's Nike deal was that it covered the athletic department only. That means the campus bookstore is on its own when it comes to getting Nike fan apparel. It was maddening early on to try and find Nike GCU apparel because it simply didn't exist, even though we were a "Nike school". So, good luck with that.

UTRGV is the first I have heard of a school doing so.

Didn't realize GCU did what UTRGV just did. Glad NMSU's deal is direct with UA, most of the gear has always been available to fans, except for jerseys.

I think a big reason for New Mexico State's solid UA deal is because we are D-1 FBS in football. Basketball benefits from it, they get some nice gear, probably the best gear in the WAC. NMSU basketball has like 4 or 5 different jerseys.
Why is everyone knocking UTRGV? Good for them in making a deal. Hopefully it benefits the university. And they should hype things like this. I don't get the backlash...

The deal is fine but not the hype.
It's not fair to wave a fake lantern of hope in the long, dark tunnel that is the life of a UTRGV fan. We'll never give up but don't jack with us like that.
