I looked back at the schedule. There's 3 wins at an absolute maximum left on it. Most likely outcome is we're 2 games in to an 8 game losing streak.

On the plus side I can instead watch the Big 12 circus on Saturdays.

Yeah, at least an eight-game slide... Any win would be a huge upset.
Game #9 is against Duke who's had our number for years now.
Game #10 is at NCSU who probably wants revenge for last year but they ain't looking good so far.

I have uh... quickly lost all faith in Collins. We can't afford the buyout so it's irrelevant how he does for the next couple of years. Patenaude couldn't coordinate an offense against the wind. Thacker tries but isn't keeping up well.

Everyone in the world knew that this was going to be a multiple-year rebuilding process because of the roster he inherited. Y'all are just going to have to be patient and wait it out until Collins gets to the point that his roster stabilizes with his players having some actual experience and not having to put square pegs in round holes.

Assuming for a moment that GT does suffer from in-game coaching problems which cost you the last 2 games (not sure I buy that, but let's say it's true) - do you not think that Collins recruits well enough to keep him, even if you need to replace some coordinators? After all, Dabo Swinney didn't really get going until he replaced both the OC (Rob Spence) and DC (Vic Koenning) that he inherited...

It was actually the coordinators he hired. Spence was let go at the same time as Bowden, and Dabo didn't retain Koenning after the 2008 season.

After the 2010 season Dabo replaced Billy Napier with Chad Morris and won the ACC in 2011. After Kevin Steele's defense fell apart down the stretch and got shelled in the Orange Bowl he fired Steele and hired Venables.

I believe most teams are playing with a shortage of starters this season. SU is without its first 2 original running backs and the nations leading interception hawk in Andre Cisco.

Don't forget missing several OL. Cuse had a FB/DL playing OL so we had similar player issues as GA Tech.

Cuse's defense is the surprise this year. Definitely one of the stronger units in the ACC. A ton of young talent playing and doing well. Gotta hope the injuries are minor.

That's right, I remember now that you laid it out... thanks for clarifying that!

Is Cunningham OK? It looked like he hit his head on the turf. He got the ball out but wasn't able to brace for the ground. It would be terrible to lose a talent like that on the last play of a game.

I just hope we survive long enough for that. Next few years will be tough. We didn't have a rainy day fund to deal with 2020, spent it getting this coaching staff together in 2019. If this doesn't work the program will be set back a decade if not more.
