There doesn't appear to be a lot of room between the end zone and the concrete wall of the stands. They probably need to install some padding there to prevent injuries from receivers running out the back of the end zone.

The end zone wall pads have been installed.

I drove through downtown Saturday evening and could almost imagine sitting in there for a night game. It looked amazing with the lights on. Goosebumps and maybe a small tear :)

Three buses at the stadium this morning. Showing it off to elite campers or to coaches, perhaps?

I've been seeing those speakers for months. Impressive to actually hear how crystal clear they are. That is a massive line array setup like would be used for concerts. Can't wait for game days. We will feel the THUNDER!

RE: Stadiums first big concrete pour is happening now
Dennis Lathem has a post up in the "Save UAB Football" FB group. Quoting from it. If you want the pictures and design stuff you'll have to go over there.

"Last week when I posted about the scoreboard video and audio test there were some questions about the system. Here are some details.

Amplifiers=Dynacord there are 17 of these amps, each amp has four channels and each channel is 2500 watts. Total sound system wattage is 170,000.

Speakers & Subwoofers=JBL There are 10 mains on each side of the scoreboard video screen (do not know about subs) for a total of 20 mains.

As many of you commented it appeared to be a "Line Array" and it is."

I have to add Cedric Buchannon's comment:

"My gawd, dat sound system is gonna travel past Arkadelphia."
