Gotta admit. That thought did cross my mind.

Since the referee lines up behind the QB, he will be able to see that kind of activity. If he decides it is intentionally trying to affect the game, he can call an "Unsportsman conduct" penalty on the home team which gives the offended team a 15 yard penalty walkout and an automatic first down. Therefore, I don't believe FBHC Clark would consider that a smart tactic. .

I put it right in with the idea of poisoning Toomer's Corner oak trees. Some fan might think it was a good idea.

It appears that most of the work this week has been electrical. The weather shut down landscaping pretty much all week.

It also appears that most, if not all, hardscape is complete. I believe the south side of the stadium areas that appear as dirt on the camera will all be landscaped.

I thought that i had seen some solid blue or greenish lighting on that a couple of weeks ago or so on the web cam, but it was only 1 picture ( the hourly things they post), and then nothing else .

I thought that i had seen some solid blue or greenish lighting on that a couple of weeks ago or so on the web cam, but it was only 1 picture ( the hourly things they post), and then nothing else .

I've taken screen captures of all different lighting components.

Things I've seen so far:
Led colored lighting (like interstate) at top of press box
Ribbon panels on east side can light whole stadium in color. Seem to be pretty high resolution.
Speakers in scoreboard are MASSIVE. Looks like a line array system 20-30 ft tall with subwoofers that could probably demolish carraway site if turned all the way up.
Accent lighting in scoreboard that really lights up architecture.

I grabed screen shots of the stadium with color lighting. That appeared to be from 2 corner ribbon lights. Can only imagine the effects that can be produced betwwen scoreboard, ribbon lights, stadium lights, and any hidden secrets they may have in the works.

RE: Stadiums first big concrete pour is happening now
I walked up to the stadium and took a good look around. Here's some random observations:

1) The concourse level has basically a ring around most of the stadium of ADA seats and wheelchair space at the top of the lower bowl.

2) Throughout the concourse there appears to be many small utility posts for vendor hookups (power/water/data).

3) On the east side concourse under the upper deck there are a couple open areas between the concession stands. These areas have patio lighting strings and look to be cool little cubby holes to hang out and eat or mingle.

4) Large concessions stands make up the east side, northwest corner and southwest corner. Interesting design that the back side of the corner concession stand/storage structures were used for more rows of seats.

5) The north end zone concourse has plenty of room for temporary seating to be brought in. Your guess is as good as mine as to how much but I remember talk of a design for 10,000 temporary seats.

6) The different styles of creative light fixtures around the property are pretty cool.

7) That scoreboard is friggin huge.

8) UAB football has a great new home!

Looks like the field has arrived! Rolls located on southwest corner of the property.
