That URL didn't work for me. ("This site can't be reached.")

But this one below did, although it's identical. WTF?? I don't know what makes the difference.

RE: C-USA seriously considering shifting media days to online format
Texas Woman’s University plans to open up campus for at least some in-person classes at the top of the 2020-21 school year.

The announcements came while other universities across the country were looking into their crystal balls to predict where COVID-19 will take us months from now.

TWU will have more plastic barriers, hand sanitizer stations and disinfectant wipes around campus. It will also encourage people to wear masks and wash their hands often

In-person media days have outlived their usefulness. It was time for a change like this to happen even before the pandemic.

Honestly I'm surprised it took them that long. Especially for a spread-out G5 conference in an era of media cutbacks. How many reporters are schlepping maybe 1,000 miles each way to do the same interviews they can do over the phone? I remember covering a media day for the Metro Conference in the 90s for my student paper that was done remotely, or at least they had a remote video option for those who couldn't go to wherever the heck it was they had it that year. So the option has been around for a while.

I thought the point of media day was you covered your team for an hour and then played golf. What am I missing?

Not much. With a virtual media day, no need to haul golf bags anywhere.

With everything going online to save money, we might as well get rid of Judy and save the $750,000 salary by having a virtual assistant as our commisioner. Siri or Alexa couldn't do any worse and both would be more personable.

Is C-USA really paying Mcleod $750,000 per year? Yikes! I thought it was maybe half that.
