The FOX news photograph (used in the headline section) shows a much younger and prettier photo of Reade that the current version, as she has not aged particularly well. Similarly, CNN/MSNBC liked to use a much younger photo if Treyvon Martin that what he looked like when he was killed (seemingly to paint a more sympathetic image of him).
This sort of subtle bending of stories pisses me off, in both directions, and is a good reminder to ensure my boys fully understand that everything you consume from media wants to have you reach a conclusion desired by the author of this information.
Journalists, as a whole, are partisan weasels. Only Catherine Herridge and Sheryl Atkinson come to mind as journalists that just present the facts. Sure there are more, but these two stand out.
