Trying to Cancel TH ???
I wonder if the University that supposedly believes in hearing differing points of view and open respectful debate will put out an announcement about this and come to his defense ? We as Monarchs need to speak out in his defense and stick up for one of our own. This is not a political statement it is all about right and wrong and this is wrong. You can bet lets say Zach Pascal was trying to be targeted by the Conservatives ...the University would be out with a comment in support of him in a split second. https://www.dailywire.com/news/after-ste...supporter/

How ‘bout on this one we NOT mix messages?

Taylor H. has brought great honor to the ODU community this past week. That comes as no surprise to those who have followed his collegiate career and know the courage and heart he possesses.

This past week has also shown us that America has an enormous problems. The causes and solutions to those problems will differ for each and every one of us. But it is enormously unfair to link Taylor H.’s success to some unachievable goal of solving the gripes of the perpetually offended.

This one is special. Let’s keep it that way.

I agree but we as Monarchs should not stand for this. The university needs to demonstrate that they care about what they are trying to do to him. I would hope the University decides to come out and talk about the importance of tolerance. Cancelling is not the answer.

Oh lord.

So, for one, I find it interesting that, in general, the crowd that hates "cancel culture" has no problem "boycotting" one thing or another that offends their sensibilities, even though they are the exact same thing.

Secondly, Taylor Heinicke ain't gonna be "canceled". I don't know what controversial views he has, but I can guarantee that he is not the only one in the NFL that shares those beliefs. And a lot of folks that watch the NFL probably agree with those beliefs, wrong as they may be. "Canceling" (or boycotting) only works if there's leverage from the folks doing the boycotting, and I don't really think there's very much here.

The University isn't going to make a statement, the Football Team isn't going to make a statement, nobody is going to make a statement unless things come to a head, and even then you'll probably just have TH make a statement or a small apology or whatnot.

There are always going to be people trying to tear down other folks, and I think that's what you're seeing here. Don't really let it get under your skin, and enjoy this moment where an ODU legend is a hero in the eyes of much of America.

Enjoy this, we don't know how long it'll be until we see another Taylor Heinicke.

+1 University should stay out of things like these and honestly the more attention we pay to these rambling idiots the more notoriety they get. I don't think TH owes anyone any apology for stating his opinion and he didn't do anything wrong for all we know.

I’d like to cancel Ohio State and substitute Clemson into the championship. It would have been a better game.

I agree. I don’t see anything coming from this.

The dude posted what he posted. He needs to live with the consequences. All there is to it.
