RE: Michigan Legislature Forced to Sue
Legislature officially filed a claim.

Places starting to open up anyways.

How are other states doing on their lawsuits?

RE: Michigan Legislature Forced to Sue
Governor on her own extends stay-at-home order from the 15th to the 28th.

Some factories allowed to open but mandating tests, temperature checks, and questionnaires.

I shut her press conference off half-way thru but she spent half-the time I listened threatening to go shutdown more.

Is apparently using 'science and data' (how many times can you say that in 10 minutes?), but looks to be using projections from an old U of Michigan model. Says 'we're just starting to flatten the curve' (not sure what model she's looking at) and keeps showing a graph of Total Cases to fear monger (remember a Total Cases graph is always going to climb because you can't take cases away & people are going to die every day - fact of life). Also reported that everything goes through her first.

Didn't say anything about deaths. Didn't say anything about overwhelmed hospitals. Didn't say anything about how dangerous the virus is. Just trust her - we're all in this together (how many times can you say we're all in this together in 10 minutes?)

Again I shut it off half-way through but she's a total fraud and is power tripping.

Ugh. I can't do it anymore. Open up Red states & show how corrupt MI governor is.

Feel for ya man. Hopefully this will be aggravating enough to voters there that Trump wins Michigan again and y'all vote that dumb broad out as governor. I'm so thankful to be living in a red state. Work never changed one bit for me during any of this and now, we are starting to open things back up. Been to eat at a sit down restaurant every day this week for lunch and finally getting a haircut this afternoon.

6 phase plan. Phase 6 is back to normal. Requirement: vaccine

To get to phase 5, she has to be able to contain outbreaks.

Jumping from phase to phase requires healthcare systems not overwhelmed & getting less overwhelmed. She has yet to show anything that they're overwhelmed.

Her cheerleaders claim that she's following federal guidelines and 'data and science' on this.

Vey first slide of federal guidelines? Should not be doing blanket one-size-fits all approaches. Plus she's not presenting any data and science.

Judge to hear oral arguments next Friday.

3 law professors interviewed by the People's Detroit Free Press say Gretchen wins easy. 1 says GOP win possible, but unlikely. Either way expected to go to MI Supreme Court.

Meanwhile police have been writing citations for a guy running a barber shop. I expect him to get jailed, & unfortunately MI doesn't have a governor who'll say jail sentences aren't part of her EO.

I'm 72, overweight (working on it, dropped 14 pounds so far), cancer survivor. So I'm 3 for 3 as far as high risk groups. Therefore, I'm going to be very cautious, and stay fairly isolated until this all blows over. But that's what freedom is about. I can do that, and if you're willing to take more risks you can.

which is where the focus should've been all along....DJT was between a rock and a hard one relative to the dems/msm

simply let folks choose....it's what we understand as a nation....you simply cannot destroy the largest economy that gives one ability to save a 'few'...that's beyond 'tard in scope...

regardless of the maddened, dumbfounded, or scared, it's no different than the omission of educating the youth vs. addictive abuse over time vs. how it's all marketed......

political knee-jerk(s) oversight isn't close to best method when the shite hits the fan....

I began mentioning ~2 mos. ago how this would play out.....a couple of weeks later it became #~1mos. before people said, "fk this bs"...

it's not that I have a crystal ball, but this is not that difficult to predict in 'reaction'....

-----------

moving forward, the focus (IMO) should involve more $$$ in intelligence/spying/squashing foreign antagonists (china) as they now 'understand the weakness' of the U.S. playbook....

this is only the beginning....

overseas/shipping/travel just got 'bombed' in a month....that by itself is a monster to unravel in the residual impact

the U.S. can self sustain/trade/globally align....the question becomes, are we willing en macro, or do the few with wealth and greedy corps. continue to roll folks over in 21st century commerce slavery, or does USD devaluation continue to arrive on the doorstep causing more strife than req'd.......

your gen still has staying power/wealth in numbers.....that's a real issue when it comes to how decisions/policy is derived....you guys are getting arse raped now....that was a given....#muhWealthSiphon

again, #kneeJerksOverTime

intellectual people like you should've entered/influenced politics under the ® umbrella if'n ya really cared....my gen and those that follow needed that to happen...but it didn't, did it?! (and you know I understand why you and others in your capacity did not)

my crew saw it coming 35+ yrs. ago....

Why I didn't personally is pretty simple. I've seen enough of the inside baseball of politics to know that you don't get far without either 1) starting pretty far up the totem pole to begin with (Kennedys, Bushes, Romney, Trump) or 2) doing a lot of back-stabbing and other frankly immoral, if not illegal, things to get there. I didn't have 1) and I wasn't going to do 2), so that kind of left me out.

I've always put principles above personalities, which would make me a bad politician. I've thought about it many times, but could never pull the trigger. If I could have found an agreeable constituency, I might could have been like a Ron Paul. But the people with real power were never going to let me in. To those of you that we are leaving this world to, I apologize.

no apology req'd....I completely understand why not (1 and 2)....and fwiw, I was a Ron Paul fan too...

it's simply a shame how talent relative to understanding the macro side of the equation has been wasted relative to leadership over my lifetime...

Prosecutor in my county says they won’t prosecute anyone who violates the umpteen executive orders from Michigans’s Queen Mum.

Michigan barber lost his license, faces $1K fine & 1 year in prison for each haircut. He's evidently still cutting hair.

Governor threatens more lockdown due to the protests. (we already have shelter-in-place till May 28)

$1k and 1 year in prison per haircut is a sentence that will never see the light of day. They ight as well had set the fine at $1million and eternity in prison per haricut.

Also, an IL county has voted in bi-partisan fashion to defey the governors orders and will reopen.

People in Antrim County are just doing their thing. Use of masks has sorta vanished.
