This will just hasten the divide between the haves and the have nots. The money that was previously paid under the table from donors to athletes can now be paid above the table with no cap on how much an athlete can receive. Amd we thought "free agency" was crazy before. The dowside for the athlete is that the NCAA wants to clearly delineate that they are student-athletes and not employees. This has big ramifications for anyone with long term issues from injuries incurred during NCAA activities.
