Fan Reactions: Huge Resigns
Compiled fan reaction from across social media following newsbreak. Interesting to see similar sentiments shared throughout.

It's a new era, but we remain One Tribe.

Fan Reactions: Huge Resigns
I don't think blindly reinstating the 7 teams is the answer. Martin needs to put a bandage on this, be all ears, then lay out *exactly* what fans need to do to salvage the 7 teams.

The newly hired AD will look at our financial situation, weigh it against fundraising, and go from there.

Do it all with transparency and above board.

We're going to be fine.

Thursday's public Zoom session should be a good first step.

I disagree. It was the execution of her vision, not the vision itself that led to her resignation. There are many alumni that are not opposed to her vision that were still furious.

This is more than accurate.

It increasingly appears the vision lacked/lacks intellectual rigor and candor. If the vision was to raid endowment dollars from sports being cut for basketball and football, it would have been better to be up front. If there is data indicating swimming and track were reducing the oxygen capacity of other sports, lay it out. If there is data indicating competitors are bowing out of swimming and track, lay it out.

The "trust us" tactic was unworthy of a college with Wm & Mary's reputation.
Stakeholders in the sports being cut did a better job of assembling and communicating data than the consultants. This should be no surprise. They're Wm & Mary grads and students. Maybe there are lessons learned for the College in this...best to use in-house talent for the next vision. Might save some money in tough times.
