I saw someone that says he’s a former sports radio host tweet that the dates will be November 19, 2022 for LSU and September 23, 2023 for Georgia.

Beat me to it turkey.

I saw where the official UAB football account confirmed those dates in 2022 & 2023.

Me too. Athens is 45 minutes from our house and Baton Rouge is 45 minutes from our daughter's house.

Does anybody know what we are trying to do for the first game in 2021 in the new stadium?

I’m thinking we’ll probably play Alabama A&M or Alabama State to ensure a sell out crowd for the 1st game. Need people to know they won’t necessarily be able to walk up on game day and get a ticket anymore. The earlier the sell out, the better for future games at Protective.

Looks like we are skipping 2024... Maybe its gonna be a rebuilding year? JK,of course. It is interesting, however, that we dont show anything yet for the out of conference that year ( at least on our chat room board here).

That plus the new factor that every ticket will be sold for a particular seat. No longer will a General Admission or free promotional ticket allow one to "squat" in a 50 yard line seat like was commonly done at Legion Field. At one time the city had an ordinance that provided for arrest for refusing to move from someone else's purchased seat. Will that ordinance apply at a stadium the city does not own? UAB Athletics should make sure EVERY TICKET sold for students, band and family, etc. is for a particular seat by sections and seat number.

I think UAB and New Mexico State home and home series is completely off.

Yes NMST is cancelled. We were suppose to play them at home last year. They did not play fall football so we picked up Central Arkansas.

Good move not to play that one. It never made sense in the first place.
