Daka signed by the Ravens
Good for him and the Ravens.

Quote:Shortly after the NFL Draft on Saturday, the former James Madison defensive end told the Daily News-Record he signed an undrafted free agent contract with the Baltimore Ravens.

IMO, It'll be tough for Daka to make the final roster as a DE. He has the motor but is lacking in weight. I'd like to see them work him at LB. I may be wrong, but I hope he can catch the gig on the practice squad and go from there …. I wish him the best !!

I've always said that his natural position at the next level is LB, a la Arthur Moats.

RE: Daka signed by the Ravens
When I saw his HS tapes prior to JMU, I said he was a Lawrence Taylor kind of player and I also think he would fit in better as a LB in the NFL. He played wide receiver his first couple of HS years so he has alsways had great speed.

Daka signed by the Ravens
Was on the Ravens season ticket holders call with GM Eric DeCosta. He mentioned Daka by name as an UDF with a chance to make the team. He also described him as an OLB.

I think that position gives him the best chance to stick. At least on the practice squad.

RE: Daka signed by the Ravens
The Ravens have a lot of depth on the defensive side on the ball. Going to be a tough challenge for Daka to make the team. Hope he gets a shot elsewhere if the Ravens don't keep him.

RE: Daka signed by the Ravens
OLB would seem to be Daka’s natural position in the NFL. If he has the speed to cover the TE or RBs on pass routes he should have a good chance of making a roster somewhere, even if the Ravens are overloaded on D and can’t keep him.

I think so long as he doesn’t totally flop prior to cuts, he should at least land on a practice squad.

Edge is where he has the best chance. There is quantity there, but not great quality. If he shows any ability to get in the backfield, get to the QB and generally disrupt on the offensive side of the ball - he sticks.
