Instant millionaire, good for Antonio and his family!

Not net.

Gotta pay his "fair share", plus the agent's take.

The tax man will give the education that one million isn't really a million and yes the agent gets their cut
Hopefully he has a Tennessee residency, No state tax. However, new York, Illinois, California will get deep into
A young man's pocket.

Houston had a player drafted in the 1st round this year.

Ike is always working it
Trying to find out if Scottie Dill and Joey Magnifico gonna get a try out
Pat Taylor had another yr, the Dude should of come back and rocked it up the middle
Too good of BALLER to be neglected.
The Redskins need a Dude to bust it up the gut, hopefully he gets a F.A. contract
I'm hearing the Patriots may have interest

We've been over this before, Ike. Patrick did NOT have any eligibility left.

If he has to reside in the area he better get an apartment in virginia or Maryland. D.C.'s income taxes go up to 9%

RE: DRAFTED!!! Antonio Gibson
Jgardne,
U r KORRECT sir
Most of players live in Loudoun county va., where redskin practice facilities are and taxes r lower
Although the governor is trying to reach Maryland levels.
Atonio should keep Tennessee residency and rent in va.If he contacts Ike I can put him in a great unit
Within walking distance to work.
Ike has been wrong a couple of times, but I thought Patrick had a medical red shirt.
Mute now, the Dude landed in a good spot GREEN BAY, I was told they wanted Joey, but r excited about Patrick

I am a Cowboys and Vikings fan, but will enjoy watching Antonio and Patrick play for the Skins and Pack. Wishing them much success.

RE: DRAFTED!!! Antonio Gibson
My secondary NFL team allegiance is a free agent, with the Pats letting Brady & Gotti go.

If the Cowboys were to sign Gotti or another Tiger I could - can't believe I'm saying this - get behind them. Already cheering for Pollard, but that would win me over. What's Paxton doing these days, because the Cowboys certainly need a backup.

NFL players pay prorated state taxes for the income they earned in a road game. Peyton Manning played a road game in NJ year Denver played Seattle in Super Bowl (Meadowlands). Peyton Manning paid NJ state tax that year for both reg season game (1/16 of salary) and NJ taxes on his SB loser's payout too since SB was in NJ.

Yes they do, although it's actually not as clean as 1/16. It is based upon prorated days spent in each state. So it's less than 1/16 for away games. And they pay a non-resident rate, which is typically lower than the resident rate.

They also will pay tax in the state where the home team plays, since that is where the most of the income is earned. And this will be much higher due to the activities conducted all year long (practice, meetings, etc.).

However, if they keep residency elsewhere they will pay non-resident rates in the home team's state as well. Then that leaves the resident state, who also get their fair share.

Taxes for pro athletes are a mess. Baseball players actually have an exclusion in the tax code for the month they spent in spring training each year.

RE: DRAFTED!!! Antonio Gibson
Example of how state taxes hit some of our guys, based upon resident max rates:
Darrell Henderson - California - 13.3%
Antonio Gibson - DC - 8.95%
Anthony Miller - Illinois - 4.95%
Tony Pollard - Texas - 0%

The move from CA to NV for Raiders players saved them as much as 13%, as NV does not have a state tax.

Gibson has a shot...

Gotta be willing to run downhill and clean up his route running. I think he can be a starter.

Many people have created highlight reels of him on Youtube now and it is almost comical how fast he looks against some of the guys he was playing against.
