Celebrity Bucs basketball fan?
Any exposure is good exposure! I’m guessing Kenan caught wind of the Bucs’ success this year.

RE: Celebrity Bucs basketball fan?
Would be cool if he still was a fan, but it's from 2013.

Interesting. There was an article in the JC press last week that he and a few other SNL cast members were doing a virtual talk for ETSU students. Maybe there is a deeper connection https://easttennessean.com/2020/04/15/th...virtually/

Here's a (moderately?) long-shot theory...................

Remember when Maya Angelou picked the Bucs in her bracket for the Final Four? (Long-term denizens of this board will, as we got many chuckles at multi-time banned you-know-who because he'd never heard of her.) So, anyway, Thompson and Angelou were friends; to what degree I don't know, but he joined her on a summer TV show she did with Martin Short called "Maya and Marty in Manhattan", altho that was after 2013. But anyway, I think they had some sort of friendship, or mutual admiration thing going. So wonder if she somehow gifted him, or he acquired, that sweatshirt from her. IF I recall, ETSU sent her a promo package of ETSU stuff after it became national news that she had picked the Bucs for the Final Four. And then remember, later she came and gave a well-promoted talk at ETSU - so maybe they gave her (another) sweatshirt then, too.

Lot of "ifs" there, but seems quite plausible.

Kenan Thompson doing Maya Angelou on SNL (2009)
