MyBB Ranking the transfer portal
Here's the best comprehensive list I've seen. It's being updated regularly.

ESPN transfer rankings

Some Memphis connections:

Grad transfers
#2 Matt Haarms - We didn't make his final 3.
#14 Amauri Hardy - Transferring from UNLV to Oregon. We recruited. More importantly, he's the older brother of 2021 5-star Jaden Hardy who has us in his top 12 list.
#18 Jeriah Horne - Transferring from Tulsa to Colorado. Good. He killed us.

Sit-out (TBD?) transfers
#1 Landers Nolley - nuff said.
#30 Jose Perez - Memphis prospect, along with Michigan, Georgia, Mizzou, and a dozen others.
#48 Tyler Harris - Although they got the wrong photo, lol.

Mid-year transfers
Ryan Boyce did not make the list.

Last year's sit-out transfers, now eligible
#9 Jaylen Fisher - From TCU to Grand Canyon. Will be interesting to see how he comes back from injury, transfer, and now a coaching change.
#31 Antwann Jones - now at Creighton.
#44 Connor Vanover - now at Arkansas.
Did not make the list - Isaiah Stokes, Victor Enoh (Marist).

Thanks,

Can you add JUCO's as well...Although not true transfers they are "experienced" players joining new teams.

My post is just a summary of the ESPN site. They don't include jucos, and I know no reliable service that does. 247 does a ranking I believe, and a site called jucorecruiting.com or something. But historically, I've seen none that cover it well.

ESPN did not make a list for each school saying if that school made the list of every transfer. They just listed the players The OP made observations about how we came out with that player.

The "didn't make the list" comment came from the OP and NOT from ESPN.

Drunk posting is no bueno amigo... ESPN took all the mid year transfers and then ranked the top 20. "Did not make the list" means Boyce was not listed in the top 20, not that Memphis was not on Boyce's list of schools he looked at transferring to...

People on this board panned Tubby for recruiting the kid. I watched him late in the year at Cal in 2018/2019 and he was a good shooter and contributor... as an awkward 7’3” freshman. With 2 years of development, I think he’ll be a significant contributor at Arkansas.

USC had a losing record and Vanover averaged 7 pts, 3 rebounds and 1 block in 17 minutes per game. SMU had a similar record in the AAC that year, so their tallest player, Ethan Chargois (as a freshman), averaged a 21 minutes, 9 pts, 4 rebs and 1 blk.

Vannover will have a hard time getting on the court if Arkansas is any good at all. He'll be a 5 minute per half "give the good guy a breather" player.

Arkansas has good guard play and has a top 10 class coming in. They lack bigs though so he will see the floor for them quite a bit.

Clueless as ever.
The list was made at ESPN, evaluating this year's and last year's transfer portal.
Look again - I did not just comment on players we were recruiting.
FYI, the rankings are also ESPN's. They are not my or Memphis rankings on each player. In case you're confused on that too.
Literally EVERYONE else in this thread is right, and you are wrong.

He had some decent games though, for a freshman. He will play at Arky. They tried to get him eligible this past year. That wasn't just to ride the bench.

If he shoots from outside like this... he won’t have trouble getting minutes.

Nice shooting, but nicer her-do. I'd take him just for the corn rows.

If Vanover is better than Stokes we may be in trouble.

I was really surprised Stokes didn't make the list. Went back over the list twice to be sure. I know he didn't do much at Florida, but that was only a freshman year. He was decently ranked out of HS and has some upside for sure. Probably like all the recruiting rankings go - once you get outside 10-20 for-sure guys, it's a coin flip.
