1975 UC v Maryland at Riverfront.

I wasn't very old at the time but I have no memory of this one.

Not a bad idea for a throwback look.

*Turn up the volume and enjoy the comforting sound of the reel to reel projector.

Dang!

Dominated 2/3 of the game. Blew it right at the end.

QB overthrew two sure TD's.

Saw that a while back...Maryland was very good at that time. Thought I saw a young Jim Kelly Jr out there on the field. UC had some real defensive talent on the field. Elder multi sport star Henry Miller at QB I believe.

I'm assuming #20 was future offensive guru Dana Bible?

Great find, thanks for sharing. I was a student at that time and I think I worked that morning, tuned in the game later and with UC winning, I raced over to Riverfront to catch the rest. It definitely goes in the books as a missed opportunity to make a statement--even 45 years ago! It's much easier being a Bearcat football fan in 2020.

I only got to watch the first quarter but that was some very stout defense. I don't think Maryland got a single first down on 5 possessions.

Who was UC's full back #43? That's a big dude. He looks as big as the o-lineman.

Could that have been Clem Turner from Woodward?

Turner played in 1968-71. I believe #43 is Curtiss Williams.

My bad. Tony Mason was the coach I think. Who was the QB?

Henry Miller. Our radio color commentator Jim Kelly is a WR, he is #7.

Henry Miller was a good QB, from what I remember.
But was about 5'10 or so?

If I remember correctly they listed him at 6'0 for what that's worth. Pretty good basketball player at Elder...think he played on their back to back state championship teams....or maybe just one of them.

Thought I'd plop this one here from the vault. First five minutes...WOW. Tear-filled eyes along with Kenyon? My hand is raised...
