Honestly, I think the president resigning combined with everything coming to a halt due to COVID-19 saved his job for this year. His move to let Cross go does not appear to be working out.

There is that. Does anyone have attendance numbers from last two seasons, compared with Cross's last two years? I suspect that is where we are really hurting now, despite all the very imaginative promotions and free ticket giveaways.

I was worried he wouldn't stay committed because Auburn and USF were still recruiting hard.

Of course, to be fair, the trend was downward under Cross after 2016, and would've continued downward again after his very talented underachievers left after 2018. I'm hoping Ogden will show some recruiting talent and get us back up to where we were when we beat Texas, BYU, OSU, St. Mary's, Memphis, etc. So far, he's gotten a few good players, but no four stars and not many bigs.

I think he brought in mostly 2 star guys, but Neal and Hervey may have been 3 stars. He also got quite a few higher rates guys come in as transfers from Power 5 schools when they wanted to come play closer to home.
