MyBB The Last Dance/ ESPN/ End of DA BULLS
Watched the first two episodes of The Last Dance tonight on ESPN.

First thoughts were is this a slam job on Krause? At the time as I recall, the nickname the team had given them was "The Two Jerrys."

Then, MJ's rookie year in Chicago and he saw players doing what in the rooms? Like it wasn't a big thing?...and the team was struggling.... how did that kind of behavior get tolerated?

Very interesting to me about how they brought up Krause and Reinsdorf(sp?) dealing with Phil Jackson, MJ, and Scottie's contract situations with the team. Seemed kind of odd that Scottie signed that low. Seems kind of odd to want to bounce Phil. That said, as I recall, the thought was Bulls management didn't want them to end like the Celtics before them and have years of nothing and struggling after the key players moved on.

I didn't watch, but DID read Bill Simmons' piece from The Ringer. He's a HUGE Pippen apologist, for some reason. I've ALWAYS considered him overrated, and his bellyaching about Kukoc ridiculous. If he wanted to be a self centered jerk, he should have taken up golf or tennis. Yeah, he shouldn't have been 122nd in salary, but he DID sign the contract.

Yeah, I do wonder how the Pippen Kukoc angle gets played here. Pippen lost a lot of respect for me with.his tantrums in that one game.

I read recently about why Pippen was so underpaid: he signed his big contract early in his career because he has several family members who have health issues,

Yeah. I still think the Bulls should have renegotiated somewhat even if Krause and Reinsdorf were like the deal is the deal.
