I'm all for adding Army, but they just walked away from Conference USA. Are they interested in any conference right now?

Army has no interest in a CUSA/MAC/SBELT league. If Army wanted FB-only membership in the MAC, it would’ve already happened because the MAC would move mountains to have a national brand like that.

The only way it might make sense for Army is is playoff access is part of the deal. In the future they might expand the playoff with an autobid for the G5 and if Navy/Air Force have access to it while they don't it could be an issue.

Also to the MAC with a Marshall and/or Army is suddenly much closer in strength to the MWC or AAC which should be the goal.

The MAC's TV deal expires right around the same time frame as the CFP deal expiration. That is when it could make sense to spice it up with additions.

If a school or two leaves the MAC. An Army, UCONN, UMASS, Marshall football addition would be nice. UB, UMASS, Marshall, OU and UCONN crowds to West Point on the regular might go well for them.
