RE: Tyler Harris transfering ?
This is sad. I hope its for playing time and not because he doesn't like it here. I loved watching him play and I was extremely happy when he decided to play at Memphis. He is just too small to be a top college player, but he always played tough and when he was hitting it was a lot of fun to watch.

Can’t imagine he is going down a division. He is definitely a D1 quality player.

5'5" guards do better in DII or lower.

Tyler will be missed. People said similar things about Joe Jackson, who was probably the most unappreciated Memphis Tiger of all time... Granted Tyler is not nearly as good as JJ but nonetheless he had a much bigger impact on a lot of games than fans are giving him credit for. He kept us in a lot of games and provided a point surge on several different occasions. The season looks different without him.

He was clearly working hard on his craft as his defense, especially his defensive intensity, was light years better as a sophomore than as a freshman. We will miss him next year. But good luck to him where ever he lands. He will have plenty of D1 colleges contacting him...

TH is doing what he thinks is best for him and his family. I thank him for choosing Memphis at a CRITICAL time in Tiger BB history. I am saddened that he feels he has to go someplace else in order to be the guy who 'runs the show', but IMO that is what he wants. I wish him well.

Now, onto the future of Tiger BB!!

04-cheers to Tyler.

He will play D1. I continue to be amazed by our FANS who continue to cut down our players.

Tyler Harris was an asset. He will be missed. Another team is going to be lucky to have him.

Seems like we never had a player who was universally liked and rooted for by our fan base. that probably isn't just a Memphis thing.

Let me start by saying I dont disagree with his decision at all. He wants to be a starter and he wants to be the man. Fine. But I dont see how this in any way helps his family. It isnt like he is a pro prospect trying to maximize his draft status. He is a 4 year player who will leave college with a degree. He might end up a coach or in some basketball related job, but it will not be getting paid as a pro basketball player.

RE: Tyler Harris transfering ?
It is the world today. Players transfer. I'm actually surprised he's our only one (so far). We are below the norm for D1 basketball teams with only 1 transfer. Can't blame Penny, as he gave Tyler his chances - to the disdain of many around here.

Tyler wants to start as a junior and it wasn't going to happen if the rest of our guards stay. I'll miss him, but not shocked.

I will be disappointed if Baugh transfers. Baugh was absolutely given a lot of opportunity, starting most of the season while struggling on offense. He has a future and the staff showed him he does. It would also be a bad sign to seen Hurd's two guys leave.

I think he will eventually play professionally, likely overseas if he wants to. The kid is a scorer.

Heck he will probably average 30 shots per game if he sees 35 mpg.

Tyler was exciting but he didn't do the little things to help the team win.

RE: Tyler Harris transfering ?
Wish Tyler the best whether it’s UAB or any other D1 school. Really saw a nice change on defensive tenacity this year, and forced turnovers were up due to the pressure he put on. Also, when he was hot outside, could get the crowd going like no one else. How quickly some forget.

He helped put Memphis back as a relevant program by being one of the initial signees in Penny’s first year and help set future top Memphis players to look at staying home. We should all appreciate that gesture.

As far as those that are slamming the kid as he continues his career elsewhere, I’m guessing y’all were all big time stud players on your basketball church team. Pretty disgusting to see many of the negative comments posted here.

Good luck Tyler and thanks for your contribution.....
