RE: Big East university campuses and personnel
We continue our focus on the breweries that are located within the closest geographical proximity to each Big East campus.

As always, moving from east to west ...

Butler University. Chilly Water Brewing Company is located about two-thirds of a mile south of the Butler campus. Founded in 2014, the brewpub seemingly focuses on lagers and IPAs. Of note, the CWBC beers are priced at $6.50 (most breweries price their beers on the whole dollar and not the half dollar).

DePaul University: Goose Island Brewhouse is located about one mile south of the main DePaul campus in Lincoln Park. Founded in 1988, Goose Island bills itself as Chicago's longest continuously operational craft brewery.

About one-half mile south of Goose Island is Off Color Brewing (with a taproom called Mousetrap). OCB offers a dry stout that is a mere 3.2 percent ABV. The brewery seems to be doing some interesting styles and flavors.

Marquette University: Third Space Brewing is located on the south side of I-94 (the MU campus straddles the north side of the interstate). The campus and the brewery are connected via North 16th Street. Of note, Third Space (based on info from its website) views a modest number of beers and ales only (seemingly no lagers).

Milwaukee — as to be expected given the city's stellar beer history — offers lots of microbreweries. It is home to Sprecher Brewing Co., which makes perhaps the best root beer I've ever tasted.

I have to agree that Milwaukee in general has great soda offerings. I tried quite a few while I was there. One in particular that was memorable was Stewart's.

Stewart's is apparently from Ohio

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stewart%27...n_Classics

But I first had their sodas when in Milwaukee.

Their root beer was "ok" I guess, but their various cream sodas were just about the best I've ever had.

I'm not sure I had ever heard of Stewart's until now. Just read the Wiki page and found it interesting. Have you had a Fitz's root beer? Made in St. Louis and very tasty.

We conclude our focus on the breweries that are located within the closest geographical proximity to each Big East campus.

As always, moving from east to west ...

Creighton University: Site-1 Brewing is located about four blocks south of the campus and offers lots of lagers. And English mild ale, at 4.6 percent ABV, is called 12 Million Miles Per Minute. Site-1 seemingly is recognized for space-themed logos and art.

I have not.

Though I'm often game to try new root beer : )

Creighton is around 24th. Eastward, around 16th-10th streets is the Old Market area, and you will find more than your choices of breweries and whatnot.

Especially around CWS time : )

Places will open just for that week, and the ones that are open year round apparently make more in that week than they do all year...

I've never visited Omaha but would likely enjoy (based on what some friends say).

Worth noting: Of all the college campuses I've seen in person or "explored" on Google Satellite/3D/Maps, the Creighton University campus looks to be one of the most underwhelming. As I've noted in previous posts, the campus simply seems bland (with modest architecture, lots of dead space, etc.). Now, and to be fair, I've never seen it. And CU is obviously a fine university.
