RE: 2021 Football Recruiting
He's got room to grow at 6'4 and 280 for an OL. Unless they think he can go to DL or TE? But hey, he's from Stone Bridge HS, which is one of the top programs in Virginia and the best in Loudoun County (and also my alma mater)

Kinda smallish.

Like the way he moves his feet. Keeps 'em going.
280 in HS on a 6"4" frame could easily = 310 to 320 in a few years. That's not smallish.

Terrence Apted was 6'4/280 as a high school senior and was recruited widely, ultimately choosing Urban Meyer and Utah. He played at 325 to 330 for the remainder of his college career at Utah and JMU. Offensive linemen can blow up in a hurry.

That and a dedicated nutritionalist and a strength and conditioning coach. Most HS don't have separate people to manage those aspects of a player's life and that has a big impact.

Desmond Green from Salem signed with the Dukes in early Feb...not sure I saw any mention of him. Listed on Rivals and was reported in Hampton Roads area. 5-10 athlete, although shown as wide receiver. Originally committed to Navy.

3.2 GPA, like seeing that. Like his size would do well in the Spur spot.

Wow you don’t get much better than Don Bosco prep in terms of NJ football.

They've been down as of late but it wasnt too long ago they were the number 1 team in the nation. Solid pipeline to have either way. Liam Fornadel was from there too

So he also played at a prep school in North Carolina as a pro-style QB?

RE: 2021 Football Recruiting
He lists himself as a Linebacker/Defensive Back at JMU in his Twitter bio. Looks like playing the spur might be in the cards. Is he eligible to play this Spring, or will he be available in the Fall?

At this point, these are December 2021 signees, so they won't be on the roster until 2022.

Gotcha. With all the changes made to schedules, recruiting cycles, etc. it is hard to keep up with all this stuff.

Not a lot of competition for Jahquil. Glad we beat out Morehead St.

Perhaps it was Saturday's game that tilted the scale.

I thought about that too. Could be they see someone w/ QB skills that could be exceptional in a safety/rover role.

It wouldn't be the first time that we've done that.
