It probably isn't going to be pretty in Dem controlled states if much of the country has opened up by next month and those states are all still sitting idle.

The problem for most red states is they are just starting to see their positive cases grow... yet they’ve been in quarantine for 4-5 weeks. If states like Mississippi and Tennessee decide it’s safe to reopen in May, they’ll do so while their cases are peaking. We’re seeing national totals level off because NYC is leveling off.

Positive cases will always increase. In Mississippi there are FREE testing centers on every corner. 75%+ of all of the deaths are in nursing homes.

RE: 22 million out of work in a month.
Red State’s are usually rural. If they have any hotspots they will be in urban areas. My concern is if we do this OKI Regional opening of the economy’s in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana like they are talking about we’ll see cases spike in rural areas as it is carried home from the urban areas where people are employed.

I want to see us open things back up. I believe however it is too soon.

you don't think there was an agenda behind that utter bs from the get-go......hmmmmmmm...

of course there was...the agenda is to flatten the curve and save as many people as possible.

GOPers only care about non-living things like money, businesses, and economies...It's sad.

Can anybody here have a real opinion without spouting what is predictable from one political side or the other? smh

lol, so when you don't like an opinion it's not real...OK then

I meant an opinion not driven solely by which party you prefer. Have you ever expressed a single opinion here that differed from the Dem party line? Same for those on the other side.

Simple. No politician in his right mind is going to keep the country open when he is told by his top medical advisers that we could lose 2.2 MILLION people in a matter of weeks.

And nobody can ever really prove them right or wrong. So now we have the best economy ever on its death bed.

you don't think there was an agenda behind that utter bs from the get-go......hmmmmmmm...

I didn't say that. I answered your question about why Trump did that. He had no choice.

But until I have proof, I tend not to believe conspiracy theories. I think the med folks believed that sh!t. And they convinced Trump.

If you listen to Fauci even today, he really thinks we should stay shut down (meaning no crowds of any real size) until the vaccine arrives. He DID say we could play with no fans, contingent on proper testing and isolation.

And I am aware of all his ties to the Gates Foundation and funding for his projects or orgs.

But he didn't cause the coronavirus, and he isn't the only one pushing a full shutdown until we have a vaccine. Lots of docs are. Of every political persuasion.

They know medicine. They are trying to save every single life. They HAVE jobs, lol.

Now, do the Dem governors have a political agenda and want to see Trump go down? Of course they do, and it's obvious they are the ones who moved the fastest for the longest, and will be the slowest to reopen.

I just don't think the medical personnel are doing anything but what they have been doing all their professional lives. Being cautious, trying to save every life, no matter the effort required. And the BS projections simply helped them make their arguments.

that's a much better explanation that I mostly agree with...

I've never denied the virus isn't real...however, I've argued to ad nauseam how DJT never had a choice based on how the left/msm would've pounced like none other had he chose the position of the Netherlands (which was my option BEFORE they implemented that change 3 wks ago....they're dow to 4% kill rate now...down from a high of ~8%)...

Fauci is a fk'n joke that should be fired once this is fiinshed....

The only thing we seem to disagree on is firing Fauci. He's just doing what anybody in his position would do. Be a medical scientist bureaucrat.

Fire him, and the next guy could be worse.

Trump just got backed into a corner and had no choice but to let the country shut down.

That's not really Fauci's fault. It's Xi Jinping's.

6100 cases and 31 deaths per the covidtracker website. .005%
Truth be told, there are probably 61,000 cases in TN.

I don't blame anybody on either side of the isle for the knee-jerk reaction. There wasn't much else to do with China refusing information and apparently outright falsifying data.

I'll still stick to my conspiracy theory. This was in intentional on the part of China. It wrecks the US economy, bringing us down to a more equitable level for the time being with China. Confidence in the dollar is shaken and you can find countless articles pushing one-world govt bureaucracy, currency, etc. I get this hurts China in the short run as well, but I very well think they may have reached the end of their rope. Communists always run out of other people's money. To me it appears China is hitting a global reset button that will allow them remain a major player in global politics, especially in the "one-world" mentality where they represent nearly 20% of the world population.

after seeing the State Dept's warning in 2018 about the Virology center in Wuhan working on Coronavirus with lax safety protocols plus the fact this wet market hot spot is close to the center and a place where employees often shopped has me agreeing with you but I do think it was an accident because it shut them down as well.

It shut Wuhon down. Not China. They stopped domestic travel in and out of Wuhon last year but allowed international travel. Case closed. Beijing and Shanghai went unscathed. China is up and running while the rest of the world is looking to them for their stuff. Most obviuos explanation is usually the correct one.

Thats the key line.

I absolutely guarantee someone in some random nation (maybe even the mafia) is already putting together a black ops project to identify asymptomatic carriers who will be systematically sent to China.

I've been pissed for 7 weeks running now how all this bs has been played....it's why I'm doing my 'best' to not be 'hangry'....it's not easy... 03-wink
