Hard to tell, so we'll likely never know. And certainly the lying commie government isn't gonna let us in there to find out and the feckless, bought and paid for WHO isn't gonna challenge their masters and insist on anything.

The original story was it transmitted from a bat or something from or in one of these wet markets. THAT was the lying commie's version. Problem is, the scientists that first set off the alarm bells that something was out there, running amok, found that fewer than half (perhaps far fewer than half) had any contact with these wet markets at all. So, did it come from somewhere else? Where?

Well, Wuhan also happens to be the location of the lying commies Bio and chem research centers. Did it come from there? Many seem to think that's very likely. Were they researching it for legit reasons like how to prevent exactly this type of thing but it got unleashed instead? Perhaps. Or, were they researching it as a form of Bio-weaponry to use domestically or against foreign Countries in potential future wars? Who knows.

Either is possible, or even probable. When they have their lead scientist die of the very virus he was researching, then the fellow researchers involved are disappeared, we will likely never truly know what took place here.
If I had to place my bet? I'd likely go full broadside- researched as a potential bio weapon and put it out for a test run and it got away.
