Drew Brees hired by NBC to be a game analyst for ND football games after retirement
"Drew Brees has chosen to sign with NBC Sports over ESPN, The Post has learned.

When Brees retires from the Saints, he is expected to start as a game analyst on Notre Dame football and as a studio analyst for “Football Night in America.”

In its recruitment of Brees, NBC sold him on it being the best place to succeed."

The thing is, NBC beat ESPN for the services of Brees.

What woke NBC up?

If that means he possibly takes over for Doug Flutie, hurrah!!

I think Purdue feels allright. They still have this on their campus:

Still can't believe he turned out the way he has.. When I saw him as a freshman, during his senior year at Westlake, I thought he was ok and that Brett Robin and Ryan Nunez were the real players of that team. Nunez went to Colorado and didn't do anything before transferring back to Texas, where he really didn't do anything either. THink Robin went to UT..and played FB.

He's going to succeed providing color commentating in football.

Brees will use his commentator muscle to get ND to schedule Purdue again instead of Michigan and Michigan State. 03-lmfao 03-lmfao03-lmfao04-jawdrop 02-13-banana 02-13-banana COGS COGS 04-cheers

Good for Brees, NBC, and ND. Maybe he can practice / train on his days off and during the off season with NBC to hit the ground running in his new career. 07-coffee3

The history of a rival QB continues. So who replaces Breeze eventually, Kirk Cousins?

A lot of QBs like Brees are probably benefiting indirectly from how much of a hit Tony Romo has been in the booth. Everyone wants to strike gold.

For every ex-QB who is really good on TV like Romo, there are a dozen who are as mediocre on TV as Doug Flutie or Phil Simms.

Flutie is awful. Brees, yet another alum of a school we have played a and has representation in our booth. Kind of lame.
