RE: Seth henigan commits to Memphis
Norvell is a good dude. Did much in his power to leave Memphis in a classy way. Took us to the next level after Fuente. Best position our football program has ever been in and I will always be grateful. He will be successful at FSU. Saying all Seth Henigan looks legit. Probably has the best deep ball of all our QB recruits.

So, are we QB University now? I noted in one of his statements he talked about our three successive highly successful QBs being influential in his decision. I like the sound of that.

QB and RB university it seems. We spread the ball around and get our play makers in space to make plays. Recruits notice that and want to showcased!

I know Norvell personally. Belittling or questioning his "ethics" is absurd. He is a genuinely good guy and did nothing but represent Memphis with pride and shine good light on the city of Memphis during his time here. Silverfield appears to be a genuinely good person as well and his actions and decision can prop himself up, he does not need to be propped up by dragging down Norvell.

Thank you Senor! Thagr whatever is WAAAAAAAAY out of line. You are spot on!

Coach Silverfield is great and I am so happy he is our coach. However, Coach Norvell was a totally class act and was incredibly loyal to our program and our city. For anyone to allude that he was not a good person or not ethical is simply beyond the realm of reason.

Thagr's comment was not out of line.

He made the observation that Silverfield is 100% dedicated to being the long term Tigers coach with no plans of looking for another job.

Norvell was a great guy and did a lot for the program.

But we knew from day one this was just a stopover for him.

With Silverfield this is a career position as long as he can produce.

So that does give him an extra boost over Norvell.

It is a thread about a QB committing to Memphis and he used that as a chance to take a completely pointless shot at Norvell’s ethics. Completely off topic, of no value and said to stir the pot.

Based your posting history I completely get why think it is in line.

Any coach who takes a job solely for the process of using it to get another job is not on the same moral ground as someone who takes the job with no plans to walk away if something else comes along. No matter how nice the guy is. From day one Norvel knew he was using the U of Memphis program to get something better. Silverfield has pans to retire as Memphis coach and is not using the job to get something better.

Back to the actual point of this thread... He seems like a great addition to the QB stable. He will definitely have his hands full in the future, we have some solid recruits already on this team.

I thought Arkansuck was rumored to be concerned about co-eds or gambling or something similar---I didn't think they offered--so I stand corrected.

You know that how? On the contrary, MN embraced the city, worked his but off, turned down other opportunities, continued to grow the program year after year, left the program much better than he found it, & after being the most successful Memphis coach in it's football history as measured in many ways, took a top 10 job. We can never ask more than that & we can continue to appreciate him even after he is gone.

I have been monitoring the WARHOOP videos posted by the FSU fans and they are remarking about the excitement that Norvell has brought to their practices (when they were able to have them) and recruiting. There are several videos on YouTube of those practices and you can see the uptempo style of coaching that Norvell and Silverfield are practicing, probably in a lot more detail than what we had experienced during Norvell's years. It is like a good look at the past practice coaching style of the Memphis staff under Norvell and Silverfield.

I don't think Silverfield is any more dedicated to Memphis than Norvell.

If he kills it here he will be gone in a few years as well.

Ike is elated with this Dude's decision as u know Ike must always lay low on sources
As recently as last week,, Ike mentioned to u Dudes that there was a good possibility TIGERNATION would be
Adding another 4 and possibly a 5 star. TIGERNATION just added the 4 star, Ike knows the Dude is listed as a 3 but
Knowledgeable sources tell Ike the Dude is the real deal and Ike is calling 4 star and the Dude can
Go DEEP with UNBELIEVABLE accuracy.
