I really like that he's keeping a UAB guy on staff with Ball. Would've been nice if AJ or Rob Williams could've kept a position too.. I like that we are infusing UAB guys into the coaching ranks taht will have pride for the program, know its potential, know its history, and won't settle for the crap we've gotten the past few years...

AJ and Rob are remaining on staff.

For all the complaining about Ehsan not having experience on the bench, AK will not have that problem at all

FOUR former players coaching our team now. Coach Bartow would be so pleased. Hope Murry stays involved with the program.

Why so focused on in state recruits? If Alabama's #1 recruit is ranked 465 in the nation, why would you want to recruit in state? I want the best player period. If Alabama has a national top player then I want him. I don't want to limit the team just cause it's a local kid.

Agreed. Love the experience and having 4 former Blazers on the staff.

I’m all for getting the best player available but let’s not give up on looking for the next Mo Finley out there. We were his only offer. Always good to get some in state guys to fill spots. Some wee there is a right mix and I think AK might know what that is.

I agree, but if the in-State kids would’ve gotten love from the programs in Alabama early on in their HS careers, they wouldn’t move out of state looking for exposure.

Yes, and the ones you are talking about are top tier ones. I am 100% on board for a top tier player not leaving state, I just don't want to focus only on in state kids at the expense of out od state kids when AL could have a down year with talented seniors in that class to sign.

That said, we want to be a team that the in-state recruits respect and want to play for. I'll take any edge we can get in recruiting.
