-most important note: will seek to extend CCG waiver for a extra year (to make it 3 years)..then will decide
- Mark Emmertt (ncaa head) was involved in our meeting
- tv schedules could be altered (covid impact on the season)- also late nba/other sports could take tv slots
- feels the season will be had, but its almost a certainty some people will be tested positive in the season..how do you handled that? how will it affect the teams strength? what if full teams are in quarantine? we dont know
- building a protocol for how to handle the season headed by tulane (travel, safety protocol etc.)
- no conference wide legislation on how to operate or when to resume
- Olympic sports could go regional only games--eample: ucf baseball would play usf and only other Florida schools --but maintaining rpi is important tho
- no intentions to change revenue sports -- only supported the "G5 relief package" to be a good citizen to the other 4, but even if it did pass had no interest in any of it
- ecu is financial struggling because football funded everything for them and they've struggled. cutting sports was inevitable even without virus. cincy was in the works of cutting soccer for a while even before covid
- not playing football next season is when we'd see a real fallout...majority of league will survive if we play football
- not everyone will be espn+ ready on time
