Ah, I see.
I doubt if Cronin was too insulted at someone taking a shot at him for drinking out of a water bottle, though.
Yeah well my respect for Don would have went up if he said that to Cronin’s face.
People say lots of ish on a message board they wouldn’t have the balls to in real life. Myself included.

I have a couple of issues with Lance...
First Lance was here such a short time that it's hard for me to think of him as a Bearcat sometimes.
Second, I think "Born Ready" was a branding name, created by Lance and bestowed upon him by himself, to promote himself to the NBA. It's not a real "nickname" which is usually bestowed upon you based off a reputation or some such.
Born Ready was given to Lance when he exploded on the New York scene as a kid. I believe he was playing up a few years and outplayed OJ Mayo in a game.
Also, Lance was never the most pro-UC guy, but he wasn't anti-UC either, I think. I believe he and Mick still have a relationship and he was/is close to Sean Kilpatrick.
Heck I'd like it better if had given it to himself. There is something about that over-the-top audaciousness I find hilarious. I about speed myself laughing when he blew in Lebron's ear. Along those same lines, though it is post-UC. The self proclaimed 'Kobe-stopper' is another nickname that needs mentioned.

Don was an old time combat Vietnam Vet that grew up watching the Big O. I don't know if he is still around these days or not, but I don't think he was the type to hold back his thoughts if he was in front of someone's face.

Biggie McClain
John "The Grillmaster" Jacobs - admittedly that came after UC when he was working for JTM
Mick The ____ - my friend called him that and I knew him growing up and he was.
