I may disagree with your reason, but I wholly agree with your target.

China uses the lessons from the "Art of War" to see what their adversaries do. They learn how to attack their opponent based on how the target reacted earlier.

At this time, we have two aircraft carriers disabled in that part of the world, without a single shot being fired, unless you count the virus as a weapon.

I am thinking that Trump is playin 5 quintillion degree chess with China with our "response" to the pandemic. We are reverse psychology on China and seeing how they react to our reactions.

China has fired the first shot in this new war. China wants to rule the world. Trump is not going to let them see our true strength.

America will not be ruled by a Communist regime. Not while I live and breath.

We are exposing all who are enemies of the USA. Hillary, the MSM, Pelosi, et al. When you are quoted in the CCP propaganda, whose side are you on?

Even without journalists there, it's mathematically impossible for new cases to just shut off overnight. Anyone that reported or believed those numbers is an idiot.

This woman is playing a very dangerous game. Unlike China, there are a lot of U.S. citizens who own firearms. If this goes viral and enough Americans see what she did, I predict bad things will happen to her.

I think people like her will need to be arrested and immediately deported with her citizenship (if it was granted to her) revoked permanently.

Heroes who tried to warn the world.

Quote:Republican Indiana Rep. Jim Banks on Wednesday sent a letter to the U.S. State Department requesting an investigation into the disappearances of three Chinese journalists who challenged the communist regime’s narrative in the coronavirus’s early stages.

“All three of these men understood the personal risk associated with independently reporting on coronavirus in China, but they did it anyway,” Banks wrote in a letter to Acting Undersecretary of State Nathan Sales, whose portfolio includes human rights abroad.

“They decided that they had an obligation to do what the Chinese Communist Party would not—provide useful and accurate information to the Chinese public about the risks and potential consequences of coronavirus,” Banks continued. “For their service, the Chinese government imprisoned them — or worse.”

Fang Bin, Chen Quishi and Li Zehua — the three missing journalists — haven’t been seen since February.

Quishi is a citizen journalist who reported on the chaos at Wuhan hospitals and interviewed local residents before going missing. Despite widespread attention on Quishi’s reporting and subsequent disappearance, China’s ambassador to the U.S. claimed not to know anything about the missing journalist in an interview that aired March 22.

Zehua was an anchor on a Chinese state television channel before he resigned in February and began independently reporting on the virus. He hasn’t been seen since his arrest in late February.

Banks said Secretary of State Mike Pompeo should use block the “individuals responsible for Li, Chen and Fang’s mistreatment” from entering the U.S.

“If any of the three citizen journalists were murdered, I would urge Secretary of State Pompeo and Secretary of Treasury Mnuchin to respectively administer visa and financial sanctions under section 1263 of the Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act to the responsible individuals,” Banks wrote.

“We owe these journalists a debt of gratitude for their sacrifice. As part of our investigation into the origins of this outbreak and the subsequent cover-up by the Chinese Communist Party, the United States should apply diplomatic pressure on the Chinese government to learn these journalists’ whereabouts and ensure their safety,” the congressman said in a press release.

I think we just have to be smart in our approach. Id like to see this used against them to leverage more trade. We pretty much now are assured that we will attempt to diversify our supply chains. That does not mean we have to cut China off totally and I doubt we will. Let Xi save face by not overly punishing them..but..get major trade concessions out of him. I think Xi has screwed up and China will pay a heavy economic price for the cover up world wide. We will not be alone in curbing dependency on China for critical goods and raw materials. Its going to be interesting to observe.

Natural systemic change caused by this pandemic, combined with the domestic financial damage the virus has caused, will certainly bring hardship to China after the the virus has ran its coarse.

I believe our government will work to relocate the vast portion of our pharmaceutical industry back to America. This catastrophe certainly proves it is a matter of national security. If congress becomes smart, they will even create financial incentives for American businesses to relocate their factories back to the U.S. or to other more pro-American nations (South Korea, Taiwan, India, Mexico, ... ).

China is the largest importer of oil. Thankfully, Russia and Saudi Arabia finally realized their feud only benefits China. Remember, Trump already made large purchases of cheap oil for our strategic reserves before his talks with Russia and Saudi Arabia. This was the first step in tightening the screws on China. Oil prices will be rising and that hurts China at a time when their struggling economy is already strained due to combating COVID19.

In recent days other countries have joined the US and refused Chinese offers to ship products and help. The overall global opinion is quite negative towards China.

China is still reeling from the trade war. By the way, you will never hear this in the media, but the USA won it. They can pretend they have no new cases of coronavirus, but their people overturning cars and fighting the security forces while trying to flee Wuhan tells a different story.

In the end China will suffer massive economic hits. Not just from the US, but the majority of the global community. Their inability to contain this virus in Wuhan has diminished their projected presence as a global leader, and they are losing international influence.

With Its Economy Collapsing, In An ACT OF ECONOMIC WAR, China Dropped the Coronavirus and Destroyed the Entire World Economy

Yes, this is from a conservative website and will be dismissed as garbage by many, but it makes some interesting points.

That is the only route we can take with China. Over the last 30 years the world and American especially has brought China from a land of farmer and a government that was 100x more dangerous than NK. Into the world markets so we could halfway control the China government from going farther than NK. NK is a nit, where China was a real threat to the world.

We did that with trade and letting them build and sell the world cheap items. Especial, America. Part of it was greed but a lot of it was to change China from a threat of war. To a country that would be destroyed economically if they did not play nice. Give someone a taste of the good life, with the threat of it being taken away.

Over the past 20 years greed far passed the tilting point and China has used that to their advantage. They now have the ability to basically destroy the American way of life...with the power we gave them from the greed of making every cent we can.

China also has stole enough from America to be a danger to the world military. Way more dangerous than the world or America can take the chance by just shutting everything off. Yes, America can do that but China is so much more dangerous today even being a player in the worlds markets. Than they were when almost everything they had was farming and backwards people.

We built and now we must live with it. So there's not a chance in hell our government will move like some on this thread wants. It's not just about America paying more for items...that's probably a 3 to 5 year turn around from being "normal".

If the world cuts China out too much they become NK, with the ability to start something that the world does not want to see. We made this bed 30 years ago and let China get control and the upper hand. Now we will deal with it in baby steps....

just as President Trump has been trying to do over the last 3 year. It's way too late to back them into a corner, with no way out, but to fight. I'm not talking military fighting.

I would hope at the very least that we hold China and these countries that continue to sponsor and host these specific open-air markets with things like bats and other harmful exotics available that spread these kinds of pathogens to shut them down from doing so. There are some things humans weren't meant to eat, and diseased bats is certainly one of them.
