Troy is killing that avg.
Hope we win and Troy has a better season.
I want to remember to forget that game we lost to Troy.

Troy signed 3 of the top HS players in Alabama...

Yep. It may take a few more years, but Scott Cross is a good coach, and I have no doubt he'll make Troy better. I remember reading how upset the UTA fans were when he left.

This is what we need. They should remain beneficial to the NET and SOS as long as Forbes is there.

I agree that it is probably time to try to play Samford again. It's been over 30 years Still, Samford's average home attendance was all of 885 I doubt they would "bring" more than 25-30% of that downtown.
This fall with the debut of both Bucky Ball and CAK may be the only time that a larger crowd could be expected

Woods, Miles, who is the 3rd? Troy will get it turned around. Cross is a good coach.

Antwan Burnett, who is a better prospect than both.

Add Kennesaw State

03-puke

Net of 352. There’s 353 teams in D1.

At least d2 games don’t count.

Doesn’t matter. We need to win CUSA this season to get in. All that game does is get everyone PT.

If we're going to play a patsy I'd at least rather watch us play D1 competition.

The schedule is shaping up to be better overall that the last few years. I did like that we went on the road against several big name teams last year. I agree with hooverblazer. If we are going to play a bottom feeder, at least make it a D1 bottom feeder.

Kennesaw State Is DI So there. Lol they are in the A -Sun

I have no problems with playing two crappy teams but would like to see them in state and a little better rating.

That's what I was saying.... Kennesaw is d1, so if we play bottom feeders, I'm glad it's a d1 bottom feeder and not d2 or whatever else we've played recently

Again, playing D2 games don’t have an effect win or lose on SOS or NET. Playing Kennesaw State means you’ve gotta play 3 times as many teams in the top 100 to erase the effect of playing them. I hope we pull games vs ETSU, at WVU, At South Carolina. we are going to need them badly. We held it against Ehsan and Haase when they scheduled AAMU, MVSU, and Nola. I don’t like d2 games or these either.

I do expect us to have a good enough year to win CUSA, so always schedule the best you can.

Their coach is the younger brother of Shareef Abdur-Rahim

Win the conference tournament get NCAA bid.

You have to schedule a few sure wins as well. Having a high SOS does no good if you don't have a good record. We have always scheduled gimmes like this, all the way back to Coach Bartow. This type of game is nothing new.

RE: 2020-21 Men's Basketball Schedule (in progress)
If anyone thinks we are not going to schedule some little sisters of the poor to get younger guys some PT and grab a couple wins they are delusional. Even Gene scheduled his fair share because he saw the value of not only that but we have to have a certain number of home games as well.

Btw Gene was the only Coach to lose to a DII regular season. American PR in their home gym no less. Oh and we played at their place in a tourney in PR.

Again strength of schedule won’t mean a hill of beans for us this year. It’s win CUSA or stay home.

Just a suggestion and not just aimed at anyone here but UAB fans all over. Put your money where your mouth has been show up and support the program. Anything less than half A full building is on UAB fans. Not the coaching staff.

RE: 2020-21 Men's Basketball Schedule (in progress)
Gene didn’t play in this conference. He could afford to schedule those games. We like to moan about the stacked deck and then play games like this. We get these sure wins in conference now. Play a better schedule it is win the conference tournament or bust forever. I don’t expect us to schedule 12 Top 50 games but I do expect us to attempt to avoid 250+ games.
