Donations. The last three years, the FSU booster association has run a big drive to improve facilities that has netted almost $150m. That money is earmarked for specific facility improvements and can't be used for general athletic operations.

But still, yes, it is very impressive.

Yep, South Carolina brought in over $15 million more.

14. St. Bonaventure - $14,020,802
Average: $27,090,790

For whatever reason, Maine is listed as a member of the A10 (they were members in the A10 for football until 2006), but I did not include them. UMass, as noted, is an FBS Independent; if you remove their football revenues only, their total revenues come out to $29,652,612. That would slightly lower their conference average to $26,351,680.

That has actually been the case for at least the last three years (as far back as my nerdy spreadsheet goes!). Illinois was running alongside Northwestern, Purdue, and Maryland in 2016-17 and 2017-18. For some reason, the other three shot up in 2018-19, but Illinois stayed stagnant. You guys are on a similar revenue trajectory with Arizona and Syracuse.

RE: NCAA FBS Division Athletic Department Revenues
I ran some numbers. Basically if OU and Texas went to the B1G or SEC they would slightly raise the average value per school. If OU and KU went to either the SEC or B1G the average value per school would remain essentially the same (but obviously a little more reach for the brands).

B1G ave = $132,419,763
B1G ave with OU + KU = $133,308,176
B1G ave with OU + Texas = $139,311,995

SEC ave = $135,212,294
SEC ave with OU + KU = $135,751,641
SEC ave with OU + Texas = $141,755,459

An interesting difference is the mean

B1G mean = $124,513,005
B1G mean with OU + Texas = $128,335,813

SEC mean = $141,888,570
SEC mean with OU + Texas = $143,554,739

Note: for both SEC and B1G, KU + OU has no impact on mean as OU is above and KU below

For the other conferences:
XII ave = $116,300,857
ACC ave = $110,214,089
P12 ave = $104,969,812

If ND is counted in the ACC the average jumps to $114,169,658

But the means say something different, as the P12 have no top while UT and OU skew the Big XII
ACC mean = $102,611,778
P12 mean = $102,056,140
XII mean = $101,169,572

If ND is counted in the ACC the mean jumps to $105,407,867

I also have a "Mendoza Line" where things fall off, and it's higher in the P12 (about $90m) than the ACC or XII (about $85m)

Note the B12 would drop dramatically if you replace UT and OU with the two highest value G5 schools (BYU and UCF). The average value drops 25.21% to $92,887,581 and the mean drops 11.8% to $90,493,386. Going to 12 (Houston and say CSU or Cincy) the average drops down to $87,000,000 or over 32%. If KU also leaves the average value drops another 4-5%. I suspect these calculations are actually high for B12 valuation, as losing OU and Texas would lower the revenue of all the little-8 schools at least another 10% and maybe 20%. The value of the conference could well fall to an average below $75m, whcih is basically out of touch with the other power conferences.

*************

See the A10 numbers. Fordham is bloated by NYC. It says Dayton is the only one who could improve the Big East, but at a cost of full double round robin.
