RE: New SBC logo?
How about keeping the current one with "SBC" printed over it?

Well I guess the new commissioner finally did something. Ain't that a shame. Should have left it alone.

RE: New SBC logo?
I like the current one but maybe they want people to confuse or at least associate us with the SEC? Youd be amazed at what perception by association can be based off of a quick glance. I remember when I first heard of the big south. I automatically assumed it was a pretty good conference since it had the word big in it like the big 12 or big 10. Then i researched the schools and learned otherwise. Embarassingly enough I didnt realize there were conferences other than the FBS ones in D1 until I was in college.

RE: New SBC logo?
One of the most important rules of branding is consistency. No need to change the branding that has been developed over the last 6 years. Brand is trending UP. That is not something that should be messed with. Changing branding is expensive AND the last 6 years of brand awareness with that new logo is now wasted.

I like the existing logo. I think this one is bad and no one is even going to know what it means.

I think Barstool Sunbelt said it best: only the Sunbelt could make a new logo that is already outdated.

It may not make any difference. We may not have football this fall, or maybe we will. I am more concerned about that, than a squabble over a freaking conference logo. IMO, this new one is not that much worse than the one we had.

Not sure how this logo is going to allow for white as a primary/secondary color. The current logo allows that. Gentle reminder that Georgia Southern is blue and white, not blue and gold.

They're probably waiting to have an official "unveiling"/logo re-branding announcement before they change any of the logos on the website.

My guess is after this COVID-19 stuff lessens, and it becomes safer to be in large groups, we'll see an official announcement by the Sun Belt.

I'll not be happy until schools that use clear and transparent as primary colors have a viable option.

But the current one reminds me of this and it would be a shame to let it go

I don't see the reasoning in changing logos at this time. Maybe in another 5 or 6 years. IMO the one we have now is better than the one we previously had and the proposed new one, but what we do or do not like, seems to matter.

New SBC logo?
How many people have reached out directly to the Sunbelt (they have to have a “contact us” link on their page) to voice their displeasure?

ADs, coaches, administrators, and commissioners don’t read message boards.

RE: New SBC logo?
I would really like to see the proposed logo in the full range of school colors. Maybe it's just me but I can't picture this logo looking good for some of the color combinations. Maybe the graphic artists can work some magic here but I'm having trouble with it.

Lol you think AD, coaches, and admin don’t read message boards.

Is that how it works at not A-State schools?
