C19 finally hits my county...
2 cases last night and sadly one of them is a long time friend of mine that contracted this evidently at a funeral at the beginning of the month. He has serious underlying conditions but so far is doing well at home. Say a prayer for him please. He is a fine gentlemen and golfing buddy.

Praying for everybody everywhere who has it, and for all their caretakers and families.

RE: C19 finally hits my county...
Sorry to hear about your friend. Prayers will be sent. Yesterday I had my first personal connection to this virus. One of my longtime customers and a very good friend has a daughter in Phoenix who went into the hospital with Covid-19 Monday. She has lupus, which is an autoimmune disease. She is in very bad shape, but holding on. She has two young children, but nobody else in the family has tested positive. They have no idea where she caught it. What adds to the problem is my friend is not able to go see his daughter. Everyone take this serious and stay safe.

My friend is an anomaly in all of this. He is older than me...over 70. He has COPD, recently diagnosed lung cancer and is an diabetic and yet seems to be weathering this. He was tested 9 days ago during a short stint in the hospital and sent home under quarantine. Today his condition seems stable. Quite puzzling how this affects people differently.

The more I think about it, the more I wonder if I had a quick bout of it in December. Had one day where I felt as bad as I have ever felt in my life. My fever spiked, and I almost never have fever. Then a day or two of congestion, then all was okay. Maybe I have some immunity.
Then again, as I read on one of the Navy discussion groups I frequent, anybody who ever went over to Olongapo from Subic Bay is probably now immune to anything.

Different strains. We aren't being told everything. Typical version people get over and the weaponized version. When it comes out people are getting it twice we will know which version is which. This was the dry run and it did more damage than expected. Watch for the big release after this settles.

Similar to other friends I have that had those type symptoms in Dec/early Jan. It will be interesting to have the antibody tests come in and tell us more about this.

Yep. I don’t know we’ll ever really know until the anti-body tests...... and that will be expensive to test large swaths of people...
