Beer at Bartow
The NCAA approved beer sales at college events last year. Many schools have allowed this at their on campus venues including Florida, Vanderbilt and last year's Final Four. With the popularity of our local breweries in close proximity to campus, would this be a draw for that crowd?

RE: Beer at Bartow
They approved beer at NCAA Championship events.

This does not affect each schools ability to serve beer at individual games. Many colleges have served for many years.

The local Birmingham distributor for Pepsi is Buffalo Rock. Jimmy Lee, the principle owner of Buffalo Rock, has given millions of dollars to support UAB Athletics. Learn to like Pepsi.

I was once told that to break even on a switch to coke, UAB would need to sell the same number of coke products that we currently sell Pepsi, but charge $50 a pop for them.

If they'd put in Diet Dr Pepper I'd be OK.

RE: Beer at Bartow
Went to my first home game in several years this season (live in Texas) and I was SHOCKED they do not sell beer. Seems like a no brainer to generate revenue. Especially when it is now legal by the NCAA and the there are beer sales at Legion Field for UAB home games.

I went to the UAB @ Texas basketball game and UT had beer vendors walking all around the concourses. Just about everyone had a beer in hand for that miserable game.

Damn right. I grew up in Atlanta, and I'm a committed Coke guy.

I love me some Buffalo Rock!
