For those who are not versed in construction, it is like watching paint dry. It is good to see vertical as well as horizontal construction elements in the picture. How soon before it looks like a stadium?

One positive from the COVID-19 thing is with the World Games being pushed back one year the opening ceremony can be held at Protective Stadium instead of Legion Field and a lot of the stuff under construction downtown will be finished.

No doubt. I wonder if this means that Protective will now be used for opening/closing ceremonies?

Every time I visit and see your name on a post, I think its blazersax because my screen resolution is very high and font size is small.
I immediately think "OMG that guy is back! I have to read what he wrote to get a good laugh"

It has to be. Especially if Birmingham is wanting to shine in the national spotlight for 10 days.

Certain City Council members will weep and wail about it not being held at Legion Field, but I don't see how they can not host the opening/closing in the city's best facility.

Why use that golden toilet you just installed when you can put on your slippers, grab a flashlight and head out to the old trusty outhouse?

I am hoping that when the Protective Stadium is actually in use, Blazer fans will be able to point out real improvements that are better than Legion Field, not just newer.

No design is perfect. The new stadium has some design issues like all facilities but it is a huge improvement over legion field in almost every way.
