NTR R.I.P. Curly Neal
Since we were located on the fairground property they practiced at our gym prior to performing at MSC so some of them stayed and put on a mini show before our basketball game that afternoon. Many of our jr high team players were featured on TV during the Wide World of Sports Broadcast.

Saw Curly Neal with the Globetrotters many times in Nashville when I was a kid in the 1960s and 1970s. He was special. Loved the man. May his spirit always be with us.

We have a number of Tigers and other Memphis' high school players that have been Globe Trotters over the years. I am sure this is hitting all of them hard as well.

I am more proud of our Globe Trotter alums than our NBA alums. They do something special.

RIP Curly. I fondly remember seeing the Globetrotters at the MSC in the 70's. Curly hit a couple of shots from beyond halfcourt that almost hit the ceiling. Curly, Meadowlark and those guys were true classics.
