Pretty cool. But I will have to admit when I saw "All American" I was a little perplexed and said to myself "what team?". After reading the release this is for mid-major players only and there are 41 players listed.

Mid major includes all these conferences so a lot of players to choose from: America East, Atlantic Sun, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, Horizon, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Southwestern, Summit, Sun Belt, West Coast

Best thing is that he actually earned this----he was NOT on the preseason watch list for this honor.

In the old days, first team All American meant the five best players in the country. The second team All American meant the next five best players. Today we can call 41 players in a second tier group All Americans.
The SID will soon put out a memo that MM coached an All American player at NIU. MM will receive a bonus because he coached an All American player but we will find out after the Northern Star FOIA request. Tomorrow everybody will be above average.
